As potential homebuyers from halfway around the world, my wife and I expected to not only be searching for six-plus months for a house but also have a much more difficult time in our search and possible purchase. What we ended up with was finding a home quickly that we couldn't say no to. The online document sharing and automation process of Veterans United made signing (primarily digital) documents and uploading scanned documents into their system easy and hassle-free.
We were also assigned various individuals along each process step that did not change. Knowing we had only four different primary people (a loan officer, a closing agent, a realtor, and a home-buying concierge person) made a big difference. We were given personal assistance that was second to none.
We went from thinking about buying a home to buying a home in under two months. It could have been less had we been in the area, but knowing we were on the other side of the globe and able to purchase a home as we geared up for our move back to the United States made our lives that much simpler.

There were a lot of mix ups regarding our flood and home insurance. Our flood insurance was not paid to the correct vendor due to VU not providing the correct information. We did not have our home insurance included in escrow and almost had coverage lapse because we did not realize it was not paid. We had to pay out of pocket and work to get that corrected. It was not the home buying process that I expected.

There was a bunch of different people I interacted with early on in the process and a few of them wanted the same information. It would be easiest to work with only 1 or 2 people throughout the entire process from start to finish. I understand that some people may just be trying to help, but they should work amongst themselves to get documents and data that I’ve already provided.

There is nothing else out there like Veterans United. I was not expecting things to be so organized and easy. From the best mobile app, videos, to the group text with my team members. The little gifts on the way made me feel my business was appreciated. Another Diamond in the rough was the home buying concierge. She gathered information for me to active water, electric, etc and provided me great deals that can’t be beat for home security, internet, and much more! Best home buying experience I have had and will use no one else going forward. I give Veterans United my highest recommendation. I can’t say thank you enough!

The experience was great. Whenever I had a question it was answered quickly. They explained things very well. At times it was confusing since the person you communicate with changes depending on what stage your loan is in. Other than that, it was a great and easy experience!
