At the end, we had the Loan Specialist, Matt Landis, who we were not working well with, at least two other people gathering information for him, and an underwriter. There may have been more. We didn't understand why so many people were involved. The two people who worked with/for Matt didn't really even communicate with us, and Matt kept acting like he had no authority whatsoever by the end. Everything seemed to be up to the underwriter, so why couldn't we work directly with the underwriter? Why weren't we working with someone who had authority, instead of puffed up salesman who didn't know how to deal with customers?
The entire loan team assigned to me was fantastic from start to finish! They were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had during the entire process. I can say that I never once questioned anything about the process since it was explained in great detail throughout the journey. All of this home buying process with VU was all done virtually and again we both felt taken care of the entire time and confident in what was happening on our behalf for the home buying process.
