The team did amazing throughout the process!

This is my third home I have purchased and has been the easiest stress free purchase, thanks to Veterans United. So I highly recommend Veterans United to all military friends and family.

On behalf of my wife and I we would love to say that we were VERY satisfied with Veterans United and Amber’s loan team! Being first time home buyers we didn’t really know what to expect besides a big headache on top of nonstop stress however it was the exact opposite! Amber and her loan team kept us well informed on everything as we moved along in the process and they were very quick to answer any and all questions we had along the way no matter what time of the day it was. The only issues we had come up were those with our realtors but Amber was there every step of the way to answer the questions / concerns that they neglected to. This is obviously not Amber’s or Veterans United fault however, we were very pleased that Amber was able and willing to take initiative and step up to make things easier on us. We also want to say thank you and let you know how appreciative we are for the new home gifts that were sent to us. We definitely weren’t expecting that and it literally brought tears of joy and happiness to my wife as it’s the little things that mean the most. Considering our realtors didn’t get us any welcome gifts for purchasing a new home and didn’t even offer to take a picture of our family with the new house as a “welcome home” or “congratulations on your first home” which was a let down to us and it really didn’t make us feel much appreciated or make us feel that they were truly happy for us. Anyways we are forever grateful for helping us along the way to purchase our first home together and you guys made our home buying experience so easy and less stressful than we anticipated. In the future if we decide to purchase another home, land, etc. hands down, we will definitely be going through Amber and Veterans United. We will also 100% recommend any veteran to Amber and Veterans United as we truly are very impressed and satisfied with our home buying experience. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything!- Brooke Pultz

Nicole and her team were amazing and professional. What really stood out was the extra things that were either remembered or given. This team had impeccable communication especially when it came to the same details of remembering that I proposed to my fianc

Thank you to all employees who assisted me throughout this process, at times it was hard to reach people when I wanted to get a single number in order to make an offer on the house but patience is a virtue.Thank you,
Very respectfully

I hated every minute of this process. If you have never bought a house you do not understand that comment. That being said my team was awesome. When I wanted to just throw in the towel they held the boat straight and steadfast.
It seems that every time you turn around there is another form to sign or some random item you need to get. These people held my hand thru each problem. The ultimate thing, I and the bank are currently home owners. Thanks united you done good guys

I hate to do this, but I need to be honest. Zach and Lauren were kind, but both had major flaws that greatly impacted our first homebuying experience. I honestly don't even know where to start. As first-time buyers, the FULL process was not adequately explained at all. We didn't even know if we owned the house or not in the days after closing because the final documents were still not signed. First, we were given a list of interest rates to choose from with buydown points applied. Since that was all that was offered, I selected the one with the least amount of buydown points. We didn't realize until a few days before closing, that we didn't need to use buydown points AT ALL (which we never wanted to use in the first place). When we discussed this with Zach he said that it was a good choice and that would be what he recommended or what he would do. But why wasn't that mentioned in the beginning? If he felt that it would have been better to not use buydown points, he should have brought it up at the beginning of the process. Secondly, literally every document we received was incorrect; either with minor errors or major errors, such as having closing costs be literally five times the estimated amount. When I mentioned these errors, I got told over, and over, and over again about how these were not the final documents and that we should just sign, and it will be correct on the final documents (spoiler alert: final documents were not correct). A few corrections were made, but they were never 100% correct. We eventually signed these initial documents because we were tired of waiting 1+ business days for the lender to check a box. Even though there is literally a page on the form that said, basically, 'if you sign this form, you are agreeing that everything on this form is true and accurate'. So we were signing fraudulently. Cool. In addition to the several documentation errors, our original closing date was never going to be attainable. We had to delay closing twice due to our documents being with the underwriters. The first delay was due to receiving paperwork late from the lender, but also could have been from the due diligence extension. Either way, we received our FIRST initial closing document 8 business days before the original closing date. We were told LATER in the process, that underwriting takes 7-10 business days, and then the lender needs about 2 business days to finalize everything. Even IF we signed everything the same day we received it, we NEVER would have been able to close on the original closing date. SOMEONE should have foreseen this. Either on the lender side or the realtor side, or both. This was made worse by the fact that the documents were incorrect, and it took the lender over a day to make one change, even though I sent a large, itemized list of changes needing to be made. They would make one change and send it back. I would find the same errors and ask them to fix it. A day later they would send it back. I would find more errors. This repeated for a week. Not once was a delay in closing discussed until WE brought it up one business day before closing. When the documents were finally with the underwriters, we received no updates, although I understand that it might not have been possible. However, due to this, we had to delay closing again. Once again, if the lender/realtor team discussed the timeline, they would have seen that we never would have made the SECOND closing date even IF the underwriters approved everything in 7 days (the shorter end of the estimated timeframe) because of the 2-business day processing time. But since no one mentioned it, WE had to bring it up again (the day before closing). Lauren said she would send weekly updates. That worked for about two weeks. I sent emails asking about the process or paperwork and was ignored on more than one occasion. I understand it may have felt tedious and annoying, but this is literally the largest purchase of our lives, and we expect the paperwork to be 100% correct at all times and we expect to have a reasonable estimate on the timelines for things and we were straight up ignored. I understand that the lending team has no power over the speed of the underwriting process, but an email reply would have been nice, even if you're repeating yourself. Emails being ignored is inexcusable. In addition, we had the down payment funds in a mutual fund account. We asked in early December if we needed to move those to a bank account. We were told no, we won't need to do that until much later in the process. Well, we get a frantic call/text saying that we need the funds to be liquid NOW. So we had to rush to try to transfer the funds and then send proof that they were liquid. We should have been told about this at least a week before it was needed as moving a large amount of money like that takes several business days. While on the phone with someone else standing in for Lauren, this person made it sound like it was our fault that there was a delay because we didn't have the funds in a liquid form?? When we finally got to closing day/closing documents, they were also incorrect. Over $1,000 of seller credits were not being used. The amounts that we paid for inspections were incorrect or not listed in the right area. One of our deposits was missing, etc. I found these mistakes and they were finally corrected two days after closing. After having the lender, realtor, and lawyer look at these documents and say "these are correct and ready to sign", it should have been embarrassing for everyone involved that a first-time homebuyer found this many mistakes (several of which were brought up previously). When discussing the process with friends and family who have purchased homes (more than once), they were shocked. I know the homebuying experience is never easy and there are a lot of moving parts, but this is far beyond the scope of "normal". We turned around documents and emails almost immediately and tried to be as helpful as possible and we were left feeling like literally no one in this transaction was looking out for us at all. No one proof-read those documents for errors. No one validated our concerns. No one tried to help us get a better deal or save some money. Overall, I will actively tell anyone looking for a home to NOT use VA Home Loans and we will refinance with another company as soon as it makes financial sense. I'm not sure if people on the team were new, overworked, or just didn't care. Either way, this reflects poorly on the management team and the company as a whole. This isn't Zach's fault or Lauren's fault, but this branch as a whole. And while I don't blame Zach or Lauren for everything that happened, I am upset at the lack of communication during the process, lack of attention to detail, and lack of customer service in general. I wish the best for everyone, but this needs to be addressed and I hope it's a learning experience for everyone. If we found all these errors in the final closing documents, I can't imagine what mistakes other couples have signed for or how much money they lost out on because of this branch's carelessness.

Great experience and very helpful. Wish they wouldn't of transferred my mortgage, however.

The whole team did a great job. They worked hard to get it done. They really made it easy for me and I appreciate their efforts!

Veterans United made sure we got our house on the day we expected. They had some issues with splitting the property and zoning and Jessica Erb grabbed the bull by the horn and went straight to the county and zoning and got it done for us!!! Thank you all for the hard work and Thank Jessica for going above and beyond on this one.

This was the best buying experience I've ever had the people were courteous and very informative and at 76 I have had a lot of buying experience.

Experience first-hand why 353,079 homeowners give us a perfect score!
My entire experience with Veterans United has made my first home purchase a simple process, and I really hope that anyone seriously looking to purchase a home chooses them as their lender and sources for real estate agents, I couldn't be happier with my experience! Thank you all!

Awesome team of folks to work with and made buying our first home as easy and pain free as it gets. We appreciate all the help and time spent getting us our new home.

This was not the best experience any first-time homeowner should go through, ups and downs, things and dates constantly changing at the last minutes due to the seller and title company. a few times I was ready to throw in the towel and just stay a renter. Jeff and Jordan always stepped up and always reassured me I wasn't in this alone and comforted me every step of the was even when I was freaking out! I have nothing but praise for VU and the team I worked with, and I plan to recommend you to anyone I come across who needs help and education about purchasing a home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!v/r,
