I will recommend this company to a friend or a coworker to united homes ….when I tell you they get the job done they get the job done. I cannot recommend Veterans United. A last minute change felt like a high pressure sales pitch with ridiculous terms. Not accepting the sales pitch resulted in moving the closing and throwing my plans for a move into utter chaos the next day.Everything was running along great until the last day. I've bough a house before (under a VA loan) and never had the problem encountered with Veterans United.

The only reason I would not recommend Veterans United to anyone is due to their origination fee policy. This is something that I understand is used to pay those who work as a team on your loan and getting you through the home buying process. However, the normal amount for an origination fee is between 0.5-1%. Veterans United charged me the high end amount of 1%. When I asked if we could lower the origination fee amount to 0.7% to allow my family I flexibility and less stress the answer was no. I did not utilize many of the extra services provided because my home purchase was fairly simple and didn't require a ton of extra things other than the normal offer, acceptance and contract. I felt that lowering the origination fee would have helped my family purchase the home and had less stress financially when making a purchase such as this. Overall the team was great, but due to the origination fee being "locked" due to company policy, I will not recommend anyone to use Veterans United. There are many other options available for financing that charge less than a 1% origination fees.
