This was our first home buying experience and we literally filled out an application, while sitting on the couch, got a call that we have been approved, looked at houses that weekend, put a crazy offer on one just to see the process of denial and the sellers accepted! We were in for a crazy ride on a great family house in a great neighborhood! Our team never let us down the whole way through and explained things every step of the way. No matter the hour, time differences, we always made a plan to talk if we had questions. I applaud them and the family that sticks by them while they help out vets find the home they deserve. Mark and Emilee and the entire Veterans United team were phenomenal. They were consummate professionals from the very start of the process to the end. They were incredibly responsive, whether via email or phone. They worked diligently to get me to closing and to address any and all of my questions and concerns along the way. In spite of a less than cooperative team on the seller's side, the VU team got me to closing so fast my attorney couldn't believe it. I can't say enough about how great they were.
I would just add that I made an inquiry with VU out of frustration with another lender when I was already several weeks into the buying process. I took a gamble switching over to VU at that stage, and it paid off big. They absolutely blew the other lender out of the water in every way, from rates, to the user friendly website/dashboard, to the team work to get my file to closing. But most of all, their customer service was hands down the best I have ever experienced with ANY business. I do not say this lightly. As a Marine, I pride myself on having high standards; I am not easily impressed. In fact, I am not often impressed at all. Veterans United, and especially Mark and Emilee, impressed me immensely. I did pay a fee (points) for the rate - to anyone who may be turned off by that, I would say IT'S WORTH IT! They can consider me a customer for life - I will not go anywhere else next time I am in the market for a home.
