The whole home buying process was very quick with multiple rapid changes in the market, however the VA Home Loan team was able to keep me up to date and help me with it all. I know that there was a multitude of things happening behind the scenes and they worked diligently to get me the help I needed. Working with the title company they were able to get me a notary sent to my location because I was out of state.
Sam Carmack is the BEST Loan Officer. He’s attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and dedicated to his clients.
The only issue I ran into was a slight delay in closing. We were given the clear to close on the 27th and the paperwork didn't actually get sent out until around 1430. Which was about 4 hours after our closing was initially scheduled. The underwriter also required new line items about 14 times. I don't know how much control you have over their requirements and checklists. However, it would be nice to get a more comprehensive list of what is required up front so that you don't have to keep running around with new tasks every couple days. I think I emptied my "To-Do" Checklist around 12 times before we were given the clear to close. Other than that I found the experience professional and enjoyable.
