Let me start by saying Joyce Kulakowski is my Angel!! I contacted her on 11 August 0730 in tears because my management company informed me on 8 August that the owner may sell , then on 9 August , it could sell and finally on 10 August she IS selling the house that I was currently renting at the time. I had just celebrated my 53rd birthday on 7 Aug and to wake up the next day with that news… truly blew the my mind and I was in a downward spiral, because this was the 3rd rental that had been sold underneath me since 2010.Joyce was flexible around my work schedule and a doctors appointment on 11 August and ensured I had all information to start the process with VU. I have to admit.. a very very simple/easy process. By 6:30 pm Joyce had ALL of my documents that were loaded on the website and so… “her magic” began!!Joyce informed me she had processed many home loans but she just started with Veterans United and I could NOT tell that I was her 1st customer. By the end of the 11th of August there were no more tears falling from my eyes, I was laughing, joking and in calmer spirits… ALL BECAUSE OF JOYCE!!!!She was extremely honest in what was required and provided/ needed to be accomplished. Her assurance of me being ahead of the game made me feel incredibly confident in obtaining a loan & purchasing the home I was renting.I have read many reviews on FB pertaining to VU and I’m sorry to hear that there were people who didn’t have a great experience…however, I HAVE to say, from START to FINISH …. MY EXPERIENCE was exemplary and I would use Veterans United and of course Joyce Kulakowski, Sarah Hadley and Sarah Boyer AGAIN!!!I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason… I saw the VU ad 3rd post in my FB news feed, and it was a blessing from God that I got Miss Joyce and that I was her very first VU customer!!Thank you for what you did for me, I am eternally and humbly grateful and appreciative❤️‼️💯💜I would like to commend and give Kudos to Joyce Kulakowski, Sarah Hadley and Sarah Boyer for the STELLAR customer service they provided to me. I was impressed by their involvement and help with the loan process. I had many questions which were answered quickly and efficiently. Would recommend to family and friends.
I am so glad we are done and finally closed on our home!!! They are by far, the worst lenders we have EVER dealt with. We didn't close as scheduled because they do not communicate with you until the day prior to the date of closing. They are non communicative and very inconsistent with their estimation. At first, they will seem very appealing by being competitive with the other lenders. However, every time we request an updated estimate, they increase the closing costs by $5K. Plus, every time we ask a question, they respond avoiding the question being asked. In addition, the team clearly do not communicate with each other, nor do they check the documents uploaded in their website. They waited 8 days prior to closing requesting additional information and verification that should have been addressed in the beginning. Additionally, they lied stating we should have them start the process and we will be able to switch lenders later. However, that wasn't the case because we would have lost our earnest money and be penalized for not closing as scheduled. If we had known better, we would have gone another direction for a lender. We will complete our one year with them and then look for another lender. I wished I had known about loan depot prior to VU's commercialized advertisement. Talk about taking care of our veterans, the whole process with them should suffice as a disability rating. As a previous employee of the VA, they really do not help us veterans and I would not recommend them.
Great working team from realtor to loan officer. The whole team when above and beyond for me great job guys. You help me made this easy and the flexibility with my schedule in the military was great experience can't wait to buy another home with you guys.

The process that VU has put together is transparent and helpful. You can track the progress of all documents and required tasks. I asked Lindsey's team for help, and they never hesitated. Going beyond what I expect from anyone by being available on a SUNDAY!
Worst buying experience ever. The staff was not knowledgeable, failed to give us needed information, closed weeks late because of training failures.
