Shout out to Kayla and Marty for going above and beyond to take care of us during this whole process. Very knowledgeable, kind, and made sure I had all of the information I needed!

Will not be using Veterans United again. My loan officer, Kris Ball, made this a horrible first-time buying experience for us. He did a poor job of explaining things to us, especially during the week of closing. When asked if it was his job to explain the loan estimate numbers to us, he said “No” and that we should talk to the title company. When he actually did talk to us, he would try to talk over us and would barely let us finish a sentence before interrupting. We had to report him to a manager and had to have the manager explain the loan estimate numbers to us.

Response from Veterans United

Mia,

Thank you for sharing this with us. I hope your Client Advocate was able to help and want you to know we’ll be here if you need us moving forward. Please reach out again if we can help with anything else. Thanks again for letting us serve you and please take care.

Sincerely,
Kendra, Client Relations

I was happy with the overall service, my only complaint would have been my previous loan officer not looking out for my best interest when it came to rates. After the initial quoted rate for the loan, I had an aprox 45 day wait until closing, during that time rates dropped quite enough to make a difference in my loan. I inquired several times and was told they don’t lock in rates until 30 days. After inquiring several more times even as rates began to rise again, I was told I was locked in, only to have him “recheck” and realize I was not locked in and I ended up having to pay half a point just to keep at the initial quoted rate. My initial loan officer left the company 2 days after this, I do believe his head was else where but that lack of paying attention, definitely cost me in the long run. Otherwise the process was well done.

I thought buying a home would be some huge kind-of scary big step, but the process was made super easy by those I worked with. I absolutely will recommend VU to other vets.

Fantastic. Everything went super smooth. EZ from pre approval in January to rate lock in July to closing end of September on our newly built beautiful home. Thank you for all your outstanding expertise. Veterans United does it right.

My Veterans United team was PHENOMENAL!! Team leader, Louie Nieman, never ceased to amaze me with his knowledge of home buying in my state. He, also, has a wonderful mixture of business and compassion.

I highly recommend Veterans United Home Loans to anyone seeking to get out of the rent trap and own their own home. No matter your situation they will go above and beyond to make ownership your reality. They did for me. Now I'm building equity for me. Not, a greedy landlord. Contact them. You have nothing to lose and much to gain. If there's a way, they'll find it. Great people, service, and mortgage loans. Especially if your a Veteran.

Everything was super smooth, Aaron and the whole team with VU has been absolutely amazing to work with! I love all the signing we’re able to do online; that made closing day SO much faster! And we loved our gifts that randomly showed up! It made us feel appreciated! Thank for everything! We have already referred 3 more people to Aaron; and we know for sure 1 of them will be going through him as soon as he’s able to!
