The process from beginning to end was pretty seamless! Our purchase was in a rural area with 6 sellers located in multiple states. The entire team stayed up to date, communicated and knew what was happening at each point of the process. They reacted promptly to delays from the selling side that pushed our closing out to 70 days from contract acceptance with immediate notifications, documentation and follow ups. We have bought and sold properties in the past with other companies, but never this complicated. We always felt the stress when anything went wrong and had to jump through hoops to make it all come together. With Veterans United, we barely even felt all the problems and turmoil from the sellers side. I feel that this endeavor was extremely challenging and from my experience, other companies would not have handled this well.

Veterans United far exceeded my expectations as a first time home buyer. I did not expect the process to go as quickly or as smoothly as it did, but my loan team made it happen!
The only critiques I have are:
1) the underwriting process seemed to never end. This doesn't seem to be a unique issue to Veterans United as many people warned me this would happen. I know underwriting is an important part of the process but being informed of deficiencies in paperwork in one session rather than a document per week would have made this process faster.
2) There seemed to be a bit of blame game when it came to reasons the process was not going so smoothly between the real estate agent and the loan team. I understand it can be difficult to synchronize a team under short notice, but having clearly outlined roles/ guidelines may help alleviate those stresses.
Overall, I had a great time with Veterans United and will be recommending them to any of my friends from the service when the time comes for them to purchase homes.
I am immensely thankful to you and your staff for their outstanding efficiency in helping me apply for and get a VA loan for the house I wanted to buy. Not only were they efficient, they always were polite to me and that boosted my spirits during a difficult process. My lead "helper" was Ms. Getz and she is a wonderful asset to your team.

Our team was exceptional. We had a tragedy happen while buying our home. Not only did they do their jobs, they offered support and caring to us. Everything went so smoothly we closed a week early and I can’t say how much that helped. Thank you Alissa, Kari and everyone at Veterans United.
I did not care for company's b's on exquisite poa nor did I think I should be penalized for high insurance and bump in closing cost and once they got their money on no money down loan from VA they disappeared. Revenge of the nerds at its finest as the company is like the nerdy kid ib class who needed clarification on the simplest question in math of 1+1 always trying to make 3 when its 2.
