If you’re new to homeownership, this is the group to work with. In just over 30 days, I went from renting an apartment to receiving the keys to my home. Of course there are some factors that may influence timing, but I never felt like I was getting the runaround or being given inaccurate information. I appreciate the candor and transparency of the VU team, and I’d absolutely recommend them to other veterans looking to start building equity in their own home.
Would have liked to had more communication especially when it came to our interest rate and the fact our closing cost went from negative ( us recieving money back) up to 3,000$ with only a week till closing was not expected and came out of no where. Numerous mistakes on paper work up until the end and felt rushed. Didn’t get the apr locked or even told how to lock it. So in the end didn’t receive the interest rate we were shown since the beginning and it changed right at the very end .
