No vetting of appraisers, your pretty much at the appraiser mercy, and the appraiser tries to hit for additional “re-inspection “ fee if he sees a safety issue. Mine was a carpet threshold missing. Totally not an issue but a scam to try and make $150. Closing was pushed 5 days( including weekend), all that did was allow VU to claim a price increase on loan points. Staff was professional, late afternoon emails or “to-dos” which when I responded for clarity would get out of office reply until tomorrow. Basically just a unpleasant experience.
