This has been the best experience of buying a home I have ever had. I wish I would have used VU when buying my earlier homes. It’s not just one person that you’re dealing with. It’s a whole team of people that are highly trained in their Field of expertise. I will never use anyone else to buy a home. Love them!

My name is Nick and why wife, Chelsie, and I just bought a house in the Chicago suburbs with the help of Veterans United, mainly with our Loan Specialist, Jerry Simons. Jerry is, honestly, one of the best at his job in the business. He helped us through this process from start to finish and answered any and all questions, concerns, and was honest and knowledgeable. He was up front and courteous and didn’t beat around the bush or try and fluff up things or make something seem better or worse then it was. I was nervous going into this whole process because borrowing hundreds of thousands of dollars, especially during the height of the Covid-19 crisis, was a daunting proposition to my wife and I; however, we were sick of renting. Spending all that money each month and having nothing to show for it was brutal. As a Marine Corps Veteran, I know what hard work and dedication looks like and Jerry, along with his amazing assistant Taylor Fruits, are the embodiment of those attributes. I truly cannot give them enough accolades to equal the job they did. I would highly reccomend any Veteran that wants to own their own home to call up VU and ask for Jerry Simons. I am a real client of VU, I didn’t get any type of gift or discount for writing this review. He did such a great job I felt compelled to let everyone know. I have already given some fellow Vets that were thinking of buying a house his number. I can’t thank Jerry and Taylor enough. If their office wasn’t so far away I would have brought them donuts and coffee each morning for a week we are so happy and grateful! Our loan coordinator, Melissa Steingrubey, was very helpful through the process. She was the perfect liaison to guide us in the loan financing world while we are still active duty.
