I would honestly find a hometown lender and avoid Veterans United.
Response from Veterans United
Thank you for being honest with us about the conclusion of your loan process, Steven. We learn the most when we listen to our clients, and we hope to learn even more from you soon. Our Client Advocate team is available to talk about what may have made you feel this way. It is our goal to use your feedback to improve the service for folks down the road. Thank you again.

Thanks I appreciate you.

This is my first house and first time to use VA Loan. Everything went well and my Loan officer did everything for me to be satisfied. I'm happy to be a home owner, and enjoy the space I have.

I cannot thank enough Veterans United Home Loan, for making my life less stressful. I was afraid to start any refinance process because the many papers and the hustle that it was going to create by it. The process was very easy, it proved me wrong about the fear I had to work with this program.
Thank you, thank you so much , for marking me confident not only about myself but for helping me to have a monthly budget that I feel comfortable with.

The refinance experience with Veterans United has been extraordinary! My loan specialist, Max, and his team were easy to work with and always willing to answer any questions. I also love the ability to review documents and sign them online in order to move the process along. Thank you Veterans United!

I think the agent, (Jake Walker) that worked with us at the end of our loan process needs more training. There were documents that were missed and needed to be signed at the last minute before closing on our new home. I had to unpack my computer and printer to complete these documents.

If you just had a thought of buying a home please call Veterans United. There is absolutely no pressure whatsoever to sign. If you have never bought a home before they will take care of everything from getting you approved to finding you a realtor to even making sure your mail is forwarded. They truly know how to take care of their fellow veterans. So again if you just had that thought “I wonder if I can afford to buy a home?” Then please give them a call. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Your webpage is not user friendly.Apparently documents are just sent automatically which in my case, often did little more than create confusion and great concern. According to Tyler, these were sent even without his review or knowledge. The result was that Tyler and I had to spend time with explanations, reviews, edits and then these documents were simply removed from the document base, because they were not current, the system was not aware that the VA loan did not go through and now was FHA, etc.I have a dispute over the house inspection costs which ended up being much higher than discussed at the start of the process. At the start of the process, I received multiple calls, messages and e-mails from various sources asking me how everything was going? But once the problems started, there was no other monitoring or offer of assistance from anyone - Just all just fell on Tyler.

Henryk, Thank you for taking the time to give your honest feedback. This is very helpful information and we will be looking into this issue. We want to set a very high goal for having an easy online portal to work with. The easier for our veterans. the easier for everyone involved in the VA loan process as well as an FHA.Thank you again for your service and thank you for choosing Veterans United.

The VU team I was assigned was great. Always available to answer my questions and helped me at every step of the home buying purchase.

Veterans United kept me in the loop during the entire process and my loan specialist was very responsive and helpful. I could message him with any questions and he would respond with answers almost immediately every time. I felt very in-the-know and confident that the process would go smoothly...and it did!
