First of all, thank you all. The whole process took less than 3 months. Very professional people and well trained on customer service. All you see in their online (YouTube) commercials are 100% accurate. Their knowledge base videos to learn more about the home buying process are in fact also 100% accurate and with my wife we did learned so much. Everything and everyone was fantastic until the day of closing. The closer assigned at VU couldn't get the documents to the title company in time, and so we were waiting around the area for 3 more hours with two babies in the car. Then the funding department took another 3 hours to fund the loan before we could go get the keys. Overall I'd recommend VU because they are very knowledgeable and easy to work with (especially if you have VA disability pay), but be prepared for closing day to take longer than normal.
Diana helped walk me through the process of both finding a place that suited me and avoiding pitfalls in the loan process. I'm glad I had her for my realtor.
