Thank you to my loan team for helping me better understand the home buying process and the difficulty underwriting brings. Underwriting was terrible. As a retired veteran with more than 20 years of service, I have never had to explain myself to the level underwriting requested. VA loans are currently 100% guaranteed and for underwriting to request some of the asinine information they wanted made me realize that once I left active duty, my service to this country meant very little in the sense that I am retired and no longer active duty. While I would recommend active duty service members to VU, I will not provide an exclusive endorsement of only VU.
