Veterans United has always worked quickly and efficiently to get our loan processed. We have been pleased each time we have worked with them. We recommend 100%!!
Angie and Catie are the best.
VUHL made this process so easy. Even with the home buying process being as stressful as one most will have to deal with in life, they kept me informed and updated along the way. They would always reassure me that things will be ok and that made a lot of difference. I never thought owning a home was in my reach, but they made it possible. I would never be able to thank you all enough, but THANK YOU!
Our Loan Officer Johnna was the absolute best and never once forgot we were people with desires and needs just as everyone does. She held our hand and walked the path or the process with us leading the way ahead. She clearly exceeded our expectations and revealed all hurdles ahead of time and was with us throughout closing and since.
Regarding the Under-Writer(s), obviously they need to conduct some streamlining of the process. Once you go into initial underwriting, ask for everything up front, no need to go back and forth any number of times. Also, your poor and service and UNREALISTIC time lines (30 Minutes) to respond to a request when people work for a living too, BAD CALL! Under-Writer(s) need a smack back to reality and a not so friendly reminder that WE are the customer and make their wages.

This company takes care of business!!!
Jeremy Henry and Nicole Culbertson were fabulous and incredibly knowledgeable. Easy to work with and most of all...were very quick to answer all my emails and calls. That makes a huge difference when you have last minute queries and/or worries about your home loan.
I had the best experience with both Jeremy and Nicole.
The option of signing things online made the process fast and easy. The loan specialists were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The process moved fairly smooth and quick, the only things I would have liked to have had a check list that was specific to my loan.
There was the generic list provided stating what will happen and the time line for that, that was somewhat helpful.
If a check list could be kept in a “Shareable†location so that both Veterans Home Loan representative and the customer could see and update when required. This would help to ensure all documents are sent in and there is no (or less) last minute request.
The last issue I have, is not due to anything Jon did, was that we didn’t know that we need to wire the money to the Title company instead of a cashiers check, this created a bit of an issue that I had to quickly make the transfer so not to delay the closing. Delaying closing by one day, moving over into a new year, would have cost me a great deal of money on taxes because I wouldn’t be able to use the Homestead deduction.
Additionally, I had already got the cashier’s check, fortunately I have enough money in the account to be able to do the wire transfer with having to return this check. Maybe in the future the representative could ask these questions prior to closing to ensure we are doing the correct thing.
I have purchased homes in the past, however, this was my first time using Veterans United. They were fantastic to work with. I was always kept up to date on my loan. I knew where I was in the loan process, and my loan officer Tina Cigala was outstanding to work with. Buying a home can be stressful, but knowing that my loan process was running smoothly made me be able to focus on the excitement of closing on my home. I will recommend Veterans United to my family and friends.
The service provided by Veterans United is unmatched. I fully recommend using Veterans United.
From the time of preapproval (July 2015) we were excited about the upcoming purchase. That slowly turned to disappointment and frustration with the amount of time it took for underwriting to review documents. A complete checklist from underwriting could have sped up the process. Almost daily we received requests for additional documentation to secure a VA loan which eventually was denied. We were not immediately offered an alternative choice for a FHA loan. We conducted a walkthrough of our new home early December with more frustration because the loan had not closed; thus we could not receive keys. Finally, Dec 29, we signed closing documents.
Very professional and a pleasure to work with
Great first time experience. Neal, Elaine and Bobby were wonderful. They were very patient, quick to reply and answer all of my questions.
