Underwriting needs to learn what a DD 214 is and why people get it. It’s a release from federal active duty, so not everyone in the Army will receive one. Not sure why pointing out the difference between a DD 214 and NGB 22 was necessary. Needs work on requesting required documentation when time is available and not within 24 hours of closing prior to days of no contact. All in all we are happy everything worked out and appreciate very much the hard work everyone put it throughout our home purchase adventure, there’s just a few areas that need improvement.
Response from Veterans United
Melissa, Thank you for sending in this survey and informing Veterans United of your experience. This is a great information tool we will be sending out to our team for knowledge. Although our underwriters are very knowledgeable about mortgage loans this is a great training opportunity for our team to know some acronyms and lingo that our veterans use. Again, thank you for your survey and service.
The website is easy to navigate to upload your documents...if there’s any issues the staff will be right there to help!

Please continue the excellent work!! The work that you do changes lives. I’m sure not all are easy but not all are a pain you do make a difference in people’s life I will definitely remember my experience and it was fantastic I will recommend you and you company to everyone thank you so much again!

This was a dream come true. Dave Stoll was amazing because he helped me so much throughout the process. He made sure everything went very smooth.

From the start of the loan process with VeteransUnited to my "Clear to Close" everything has been a dream! Everyone from Carl Thomas to Jason Lacey, and my VeteransUnited realtors Sabrina and Patrick Schill, has made me feel my worth as a veteran. My wife and I are in our new home and we are loving it! Jason Lacey always made me feel confident and informed during the entire process. My communication with him and Carl Thomas kept my loan moving forward at a phenomenal pace! I started my loan on 12/6/19 and I was at the closing table on 1/31/20. Thank you very much VeteransUnited and OORAH!!!

Great experience! Active duty in a Ship and was able to get it done with little stress. I would recommend to anybody in the Military. Ask for Chris Stieffermann!

Woke a bit in communication and always trust but verify with the tied party company

Don’t second guess Veterans United, they are the best choice when it’s time to find a home. I will defiantly let my fellow veterans know of the great professionalism and satisfaction I got with making my choice.

Experience first-hand why 336,001 homeowners give us a perfect score!

This was my second time buying a home and my first time with VU. It was an amazing experience, I'm a customer for life.

Great deal.Call. ASK for Dorothy Willy and make sure you get Sam as your realtor. With that team, you are set in the Missouri. If not in Missouri, Veterans United Home Loans is an awesome company. We cannot thank them enough!

Matt Landis and Kathleen Wyble were really great! I was a little nervous and lost with the house buying process at first, but they were there with me every step of the way of buying my first home. I'm really glad I went with VU!

Outstanding!

TO FUTURE VETERAN HOME BUYERS. OUR EXPERIENCE IN OUR LOAN PROCESS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. WE HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN TWO OTHER HOME BUYING EFFORTS AND NONE LIKE THE GREAT AND EFFORTLESS EXPERIENCE WE HAD WITH VETERANS UNITED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VETERANS UNITED YOU ALL VETERANS IN HOME BUYING.

Just do it. The Veterans United team will find a way to place you in a home.

Love you team,thankyou.
