This was the first time I had ever built a home from the ground up. I was very concerned about how stressful the entire situation would be. We started the home-buying process from overseas as first time buyers. Other lenders that claimed to have military families in mind didn't have a way for us to include international phone numbers or even indicate that our address was overseas (AA/AE/AP).
