We are return clients because of the great rates and some of the best, if not the best customer service available. Especially our loan officer who we requested by name for the second time. Everyone we worked with was courteous, professional and competent. Highly recommended, especially if you are a Veteran!
The service was great for the first 50% or so. After moving to underwriting, I could never get ahold of anyone. I left voicemails, called several times a day, sent texts and emails. If I got a response, it was via email at 9pm. Closing ended up being delayed three different times and the rep was not communicating with me or my realtor. I had previously recommended a friend to Veterans United, but I have since called to redirect them and avoid the hassle.

I’ll ONLY do business with Joel. He’s been our loan officer for more than six years now and as long as he’s still with VU, I’ll keep using VU every time. I hope VU realizes the type of quality person Joel is. You don’t normally find resourceful, kind, and genuine people like Joel in the home buying business. I’d describe him as a brightly shinning star in the process.
