This is the first place that I would look into because their Loan officers are great and it's a one stop shop. I would recommend to bring your own real state agent no matter what they recommend.

The only issues we ran into throughout the process was with our loan officer: Lauren Fritz. She had very minimal contact with us and informed us very late about a home insurance issue which could have hindered our closing date. Didn’t seem like she was interested in helping us very much.

I'm not sure how Veterans United or Hannah Liebhart and her team could have made my home buying less stressful and any more easy going. Hannah was beyond my greatest expectations. She was kind, incredibly professional and on top of my loan every step of the way. I started the process with a different lender and it was a stressful nightmare! Hannah was able to over come our obstacle and it was smooth/quick sailing from there. She was even able to get us closed earlier than anticipated. I would recommend Veterans United and Hannah and her team any given day!

I was extremely excited to be able to buy a home and have someone help us thru this process but that is not really how I ended up feeling once we got working with Leanna and Kim. We knew nothing about the process and they gave us very little information upfront on what to expect. We ended up looking at houses out of our price range for the first part because we were not given the way to figure out our monthly payment. I had to keep emailing Leanna about houses to see the price for monthly cost. When I asked questions about how the cost was different I got short answers like taxes with no suggestion on the best way to find out where high tax areas were. Finale after about emailing for a 15 houses for monthly cost she sent us a link to be able to get the amount ourselves and when I had questions about how to find the taxes she just responded again with a short answer of on the listing which was extremely frustrating because the listing usually had yearly amounts and not percentages like the link had. Thankfully our realtor was on top of it and showed us a way to get this together. When we finale found the home we ended up buying we hardly heard from Leanna and when we did get paperwork on loan estimates most of the banking information was listed incorrectly even after I communicated this with Leanna and her team multiple times. Any time we had a question about what exactly the charges were on the paperwork for closing costs and such the answer was always well that just how it’s done like we were expected to know this already. Same thing with the interest rate I called to ask for an updated loan estimate and the lower interest rate was put it but there was a charge added for it without any explanation so when I called to ask about this they again were just like well that’s what people do. When I made it clear that answer wasn’t good enough I wanted an actual explanation she did explained the whole process of points buy. Which again we had no clue about. Which was extremely frustrating because as a family that was literally watching everything we spent these random charges were confusing. Half the time I did not feel like I could call and ask questions about the charges but they would just give me an answer of basically “it is what it is” and have no better understanding of what we were dealing with.We lucked out and had a really good realtor who would go above and beyond and most of the time knew the answer to our questions and explained a lot. When it got time for the appraisal to come around we started to get nervous because closing date was coming up fast and it still hadn’t been completed. Every time I would text Kim about this she would say not yet I’ll let you know when they do the appraisal. Which did not help our nervousness because if the appraiser required any repairs we were going to be cutting this close. Finale when the appraisal came thru Kim emailed it to us. Now this would not have been a frustrating moment if I had been communicating with her thru emails but I had been texting her EVERYDAY and she just sent an email. They appraiser did require one repair to be done and we needed Kim to get answers from him about ways the repairs could be done. After Kim could not get an answer and we again were cutting it close to the closing date. I had enough and asked that the appraiser contact information be passed on to my realtor who got an answer quickly and with extreme ease. My realtor coordinated the repair so the reinspection could take place and keep us on track.Honestly at this point we were ready to be done with Leanna and Kim because they seemed to have no sense of urgency when it came to us making our closing date. They acted like it was just all not a big deal and had no reassurances to us that everything would be fine. My husband was coming home from deployment and instead of us being able to focus on the happiness of his homecoming and us owning our first home it was riddled with stress, fear and worry that something was going to go wrong for closing. If it wasn’t for our realtor I honestly think we would of quit the process altogether. We talked several times about switching from veterans united to a different company and if we decide to buy another home in the future we will make sure we do not get Leanna or her team.

Very bad experience. Everything was going along fine until the end of the buying process. I was promised my earnest money but did not get it back. I would not recommend Veterans United to anyone.
