Only negative thing is the appraiser who delayed closing date and made my already difficult situation (due to COVID and other variables) a lot difficult. Recommend he/her get professional counseling to improve for the next veteran. However, VU made it right and helped me out in the end so no hard feelings at all.Y’all crushed it!

When my wife and I first started our homebuying process we conducted lots of research on various mortgage lenders. After reading the reviews on Veterans United website, we decided to initiate the process. We were assigned a loan officer DJ Leverton and loan coordinator Bailey Peters. We could not have more impressed with the entire process from start to finish. They were both very insightful and knowledgeable which made our job effortless. We pretty much just uploaded the necessary documents and did what they told us and closing took less than 40 days. I firmly believe if you’re aligned with people who are compassionate and caring, it makes the entire homebuying process a lot more enjoyable. The website and connecting process were easy and conveniwnt. The loan team tackled an expedited loan request with time to spare while balancing a time zone difference and a night shift client.
