I purchased a house in a different state. I was assured that it would not be a problem funding the loan. My real estate agent recommended that I contact a loan officer that she worked with for VA loans. I told her that I had been pre-approved by Veterans United and would not need any other agency. She was used to working with people she knew and was hesitant at first. Once she discovered how professional and responsive VU was she quickly changed her mind. At the closing she told me that she would definitely recommend Veterans United in the future and looked forward to working with them again.
Mortgage team was great. They were always available to answer my questions which was reassuring. Erin West was professional and help to ease stress/anxiety that is a part of home buying. She also kept me in the loop regarding my to-do which helped me stay on top of things. Only complaint, which is extremely minor, is the fact that I had to keep reminding my team that I wasn’t using a realtor. However, next time I buy a home, I will definitely utilize veterans United.

I wasn't thrilled with my experience. Really, every last ounce of joy was removed from buying my home, all the way until I had keys in my hand. Thank goodness for my agents and their team to help keep things moving and on track. I'm pretty sure had I had a different person handling things on the Veteran United side things could have gone smoother. I feel its important to be listened to by people who are supposed to be my "team". They should be getting creative and helping to solve problems, not act as an additional barrier.
