This was my second time working with George on a loan and as before it was excellent. He was always able to answer my questions in a timely manner. And work to get me the best rate possible. I hope to not buy another house for a long time if ever, but if that were to change I will give George call.

In 2017, I was looking to buy our first home and on the internet, came across VU, since we were overseas, it was difficult to meet but we made a few telephonic calls until we returned to the US. Once we got here, we ended up in a total different State then we had initially expected, the loan officer transfer was seemingless, Johnna took over, transparent to us. The rest was easy to us as Johnna walked us one step at a time through the process til closing on 31 Mar 2018. In July 2019, Johnna sent me a note to inform me that I was qualified for a Refinance deal that would reduce the interest rate. Once we accepted, the rest of the process was even easier than the purchase, less documents etc. I really appreciate VU assistance to walk us through these closings. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future.Thank you.

In my opinion the underwriting process was a bit difficult. For example-asking me to explain where I lived 40 years ago is a bit much. I was a technical support person with CDI communications and for that reason lived in an apartment away from my personal residence for a few years from 1996 until 2001. 1108 Lakewood has been my home since 1996 and my wife and family were there while I was in Salt Lake City or Seattle on contract assignments. I understand that these circumstances are certainly unusual but nevertheless the letters of explanation were an annoyance to me. However both Cameron Benedict and Mark Anderson did an excellent job of helping me through the entire process. All's well that ends well - I do believe I did obtain a 3.5% 30 year fixed loan so I am very satisfied with that.
