I want to thank Tim Tallis and his team for being with me from start to finish. Outstanding communication, questions answered right away. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to work with a Veteran United team. I thank all from my heart. I now have the home I have been dreaming of. Thank you. Kenneth Flyte
Be careful when working with anyone, but especially make sure the seller has their closing costs before doing anything or you'll end up homeless and or paying more
Response from Veterans United
We understand you had a unique experience in which the sellers tried to back out of selling you the home, and we're sorry you went through that, Leon. We were honored to continue to work alongside you until the sellers were ultimately able to sell you your new home. We hope you enjoy many happy years there.
I understand I’m a unique customer due to my disability. The Federal law requiring me to provide proof of disability income is excessive, a W-2 form should be sufficient for a mortgage company to process a loan. And likewise, the Federal government should make it easier for mortgage companies to confirm disability income.
This is our first experience and Veterans United made the process smooth for us. Thank you
Our Veterans United mortgage team was great from the beginning. This is our first time buying a home and they walked us through every step of the process. They updated us daily until the day we closed. I would recommend Veterans United to all Veterans. These people really know what they’re Doing
My team was awesome! Very competent and prompt. They answered all my questions. The whole process was very smooth and fast. I was very impressed at how well oiled and fined tuned your process was throughout my whole experience from beginning to closing. Well done!

I'm a poet and didn't know it!!!
Working with VU made a new home buying experience easy and painless. They help with everything, especially with answering questions and tailoring the loan to you. I can not recommend them enough! This is my second loan with them and the people we work with are why we came back, and will continue to do so.
I requested to change the closing date to a sooner date as my realtor misunderstood and thought I wanted a later date. without even listening to me Shane refused to even consider it, kept just telling me NO, without explanation. He also seemed to be angry/snappy almost every time I talked to him. I tried several times to ask him why, he just kept telling me no. I almost walked away from the loan and home because I didn't want to talk to him again. He also had me sign the same document multiple times, it seemed that it kept disappearing, or I'd fill out a document and he'd text me for the information I put on the document (i.e. for home owners insurance they have you fill out a form with all the information on it, not 5 minutes after I completed filling it out Shane texted me wanting me to give him all the information. Why would I fill out a form if I'm just going to provide the information) I finally got tired of it and asked to speak to his supervisor, she was able to explain to me where the communication was breaking down and fix it. We were able to change the closing date. Was told the VA requires homeowners' insurance and taxes to be combined into the mortgage, I contacted the Va and was told that it NOT the case; they actually recommend you try to pay them yourself as it will make your mortgage payments more manageable. With homeowners' insurance and taxes rolled into the loan they can charge you a higher interest fee as it's on the total loan amount. I would NOT recommend them, I plan to contact the VA and let them know how dissatisfied I am with the company.
Response from Veterans United
Tina, communication breakdowns are unfortunate, and we are very sorry this happened with you. We are grateful these issues were addressed and overcome prior to your closing. As a clarifying note, the only interest paid on a mortgage is on the principal loan amount that was borrowed. Interest is not charged on homeowner's insurance or property taxes, even when those items are included in escrow. Our Client Advocate team is happy to discuss any outstanding questions or concerns you have, and we very much appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback.
The loan request to much paperwork and a lot of personal information, it was timely and you have to send the same paperwork in over and over , it was a hard Loan to get!!!
Response from Veterans United
Kim, we understand obtaining a government-backed loan does require verification of a lot of information, but we ensure that we only ask for items needed for your loan approval. We appreciate the hard work you put into utilizing your veteran home buying benefit, and for letting us assist you during your journey.
The whole team was great throughout. The experience was low stress due to the knowledge, professionalism, and experience displayed through the entire process.
