Veterans United made my home-buying process super easy. From the time I submitted an offer on my house on April 8, 2019, until my closing date of May 10, 2019, Sam Yoo's loan team kept me informed about where I was in the process. I am so glad I chose Veteran's United for my loan.

Our experience with VU was smooth for the most part. Towards the end there was some miscommunication that ended up costing us our lower locked in rate and couldn’t be rectified but overall our experience was a good one. Everyone worked really hard for us, especially our Realtor Karen who was recommended by VU.

We chose Veterans United when they were the lender for the buyer of our old home. We noticed that Veterans United was the agency working hardest on behalf of our buyer to insure they were entering into a sound home with sound financing. Then we chose to use Veterans United to purchase our new home based on witnessing that performance and we were not disappointed. Every step of the way our loan specialist and his team kept us fully informed and explained everything. They made sure the inspections were done properly and when on the day before our closing the closing agent screwed up, Craig Brumfield and Rain Mitchell saved the day and fixed our closing agents error saving us $5000.00. At our closing, the closing agent and our realtor were shocked at how good our interest rate was and how excellent our loan was set up. Our realtor said the way our loan is set up will be an additional benefit if we sell down the line. This was an amazing experience that has left me so happy that I wish I could buy a house every month just to deal with such nice, professional, knowledgeable and kind people more.

We started this journey with little credit history and Veterans United helped us correct that problem and put us on the path to successful home buying. I am amazed, thrilled, overjoyed with how helpful and caring everyone on the team was. Every one I spoke to was calm, friendly and made me feel like I was their number one priority. Truly an amazing experience. My family and I are so grateful for all of the hard work (I know it was hard, though they never let it seem that way)!

Everything was so easy and went so smoothly. I heard so many horror stories about buying a house. My friend and a family member each bought a house few months ago and they were telling me all the hoops they had to go through and how to took longer than 90 days for them to close so I wasn't expecting everything to go so fast as it did and as easy as it did. everyone was great. Andy was great!! I was very surprised and all of my family was surprised at how easy and fast everything went. Thank you so much Veterans United!!

Veterans United is a great company and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends and family. They were professionals and worked with me every step of the way from pre-approval to closing. Their agents are professional and always able to be contacted when you need them which is a huge bonus when you are trying to contact them after hours or on the weekend. Their online document submission made the process so much easier than having to submit everything on paper and made the process go much more smoothly. The only issue I had was with their underwriters. Despite having an 800 credit score I continually felt like they were checking up on me and didn't give me any leeway when it came to my background. I realize that is part of their job and that they are ensuring that I was qualified to be approved for the loan, but even after being approved and having the final loan amount approved, I was still being asked to submit more documentation and information. Since I closed on the 3rd of the month, I was told that I needed to provide copies of my paid mortgage statement on another property I own. Had I closed on the 29th this wouldn't have been necessary. Despite my keeping my credit clean for more than 20 years, they were afraid that I was just suddenly going to stop paying my bills because of the day of the month?! This went on until 36 hours before closing. I worked very hard to keep my credit score up and be in a sound financial position, I figured that would carry some weight but it didn't with their underwriters. This may sound trivial but that kind of thing is insulting especially when it comes to such a large sum of money and my personal financial reputation. At some point you need to extend common courtesy to your customers and trust that they aren't going to do something stupid in the last couple of days before closing, especially when they haven't in the previous 20 years. When you are approved for the loan, that means just that, you're approved, not that you should keep digging right up until closing.
