I was very pleased with the team at Veterans United. I had been working with two other lenders who didn’t seem interested in my business and lacked the knowledge of VA loans needed to help me navigate the process. As a first time homebuyer, I had questions but kept getting the run around. From the very first call from VU, I was told I qualified and they would get me through all the unique challenges my situation had. Although I was not very hopeful, they never swayed from the opinion I was going to be approved,. Ironically, on my closing day, one of the other lenders reached out to see if I was ready to work with them on “next steps.” I thanked them but explained I had gone with VU who not only had me qualified, but helped me find my house and got me approved. They promptly hung up. I’m so happy I found Veterans United!
The entire teams top priority was making sure we understood and were prepared for every step in our home buying process, making the entire experience smooth from start to finish. If we had questions, they were promptly and completely answered. If we needed support in any aspect of the process, the team was ready to step in and engage as needed. I have been working with VUHL for the past 5 to 7 years and more aggressively searching these past two years. Qualifying was not our issue. As I said the process qualifying hadnt been our issue. Our issue was finding something in the criteria of VUHL, Distance of Location, Affordability, Market availability and not being bullied out of an opportunity that could be reasonable. Well unreasonably it is far from where we'd love to be but near enough we wanted to pull this trigger and pursue the closing out on our Journey. Kudos To Mark Dischert, Chris Angelo who have for the most of our journey aiding in follow ups Erin Bell, Heather Risenhoover, Ally. safe landings now we're preparing to pick up our Keys T-Shirts from Lennar at Aviano from VUHL soon. The team I had was impressive, very knowledgeable and made it easy for me to understand what I had to do.
The beginning of the purchase of my condo was something I was very nervous about. Mark and Julia helped me get past the first couple of hurdles. Once it was turned over to the processor that is when things started to go south. When I was working with, I believe her name was Tiffany, she dropped the ball and the communication was poor. I paid for my appraisal on a Tuesday but she did not order it until Friday. Due to this it helped to delay the closing of my home. After a week of when I ordered it I sent an email to her and made sure to include Julia and Mark on it as well. I vented my frustration and asked to have more communication and more updates. Her response to this was telling me that she was overworked with the amount of loans she was working on. So she made me feel like I was a problem for asking for this to be accomplished.The response I received from VU and Julia was very nice. I had Julia immediately reach out to me when she say the response I received from Tiffany. She let me know that was not how the image of her team should be viewed. That day Tiffany was replaced by Kaitlyn. After that replacement was made the process was so much smoother.Kaitlyn was a dream to work with. I received frequent communication and updates from her. She would text me or call me to let me know where we were in the process. She let me know of any hiccups that were coming up and what needed to be done to accomplish those tasks. Because of her and her hard work I truly feel like we were able to recover and finish this loan quicker than we were if Tiffany was on the team still.Having Kaitlyn and Mark work together they made a nightmare of a purchase into a dream. I am so glad that I was able to work with this team to get to the end. I will recommend this team to anyone that is looking for a home.
