I’ve always been hands on about everything I do. I like to do things face to face so I was weary about this process. After talking to the loan officer and actually giving it a try I found out that it was very easy to navigate through this process.
This was such an enjoyable process for my wife and I. I am paying a higher interest rate but the customer service was exceptional so I decided to have my loan serviced through Veterans United. Lindsey James is exceptional in every way which made my decision to work with Veterans United rather than other competitors that much easier.
Veterans United is highly recommended overall, however, the sources of funding and VA requirements have made their job all the more difficult, so two recommendations for a smoother experience. First, if the property you are purchasing has fixer-upper features and the sellers are unwilling to spend money to meet Veterans Administration funding requirements, be prepared for delays and potential out-of-pocket pre-purchase expenses. Second, a huge time saver is the electronic review and file upload process. Before even starting, make sure all of your paperwork is already electronic and in portable document format (pdf). That way, when these requirements are proposed, you can respond quickly, saving you time and money.The staff at Veterans United are highly professional and motivated to make your experience as smooth as it can be, knowing full well there are many unforeseen challenges in the home buying process. We are thankful to all involved in helping us purchase our new home.

First time getting a house, they made the experience easy as they could, just dont get a new credit card when you start the process under writers will drive you nuts.
Don't hesitate, pull the trigger. You will not be disappointed. Do what the team asks of you document submission and inspection wise placing a priority on it - you know as if you're about to get cash-in-hand for doing so. Then, just sit back and watch the calendar go by. I would say our loan should have been complicated because we just sold a rental property, etc. all of which are markers for underwriting review - Mike and his folks make it no issue whatsoever. Our documents and to-do's were always in our online account, we would promptly knock them out, provide supporting docs and away we went. Check went in the box and we never had to worry about anything again. Absolutely seamless.This team is phenomenal. Was truly a pleasure to work with.
