I had to write explanation letters for most of the documentation I submitted for the loan process. The explanations described nothing extraordinary for an active duty military member; I expected a company that is familiar with military life to understand common occurrences, such as: living overseas, having an APO address, and having a home of record address on driver's license to meet state voting requirements. When discussing my experience with military members who used other loan companies, they said they did not write any explanation letters, despite applying for a loan under the same circumstances. Overall, they had more of a "full service" experience.

the officer assigned to us, miscommunicated with us on multiple occasion as if she had us confused with someone else, and then tried to say that we must have mixed up. Very unprofessional and not happy with the service we received.

The Veterans United Home Loan is the best company that I dealt with. All of their staff worked very very hard in assisting me , they walked me to the entire process and were always there to answer all of my issues/questions.
