I probably won't come down to Missouri, but if I did, I would surely buy Joe and Ashly a beer. (Or carbonated water if that was their thing). I called VA number on a lark, and Joe called me back within 30 minutes.
I am so used to dealing with people in all walks of life that not aren't very good at their jobs, and it was awesome to have someone WAS good at his job on the case. You guys are lucky to have Joe and Ashly. Go ahead and give them the rest of the day off!!
This experience very stressful at times, but our loan specialists really helped us get pass any concerns we had. Our Real Estate Agent was wonderful as well, Sandi really was patient and understanding. They made the stressful times go by with ease. We were blessed to have such caring and understanding professionals in our corner.

I have two major complaints:
1. The electronic document portal was not working for me (would not allow me to sign the docs) and no one from VU could provide me with any solutions. I submitted a trouble ticket and nothing came of it.
2. I felt as if I was pushing my loan officer for documents, answers, status updates, etc. In reality, I felt it should have been the other way around.
Alycea Lawson also helped with the process who helped gather some of the documents I needed to submit. She was extremely responsive with her emails, even over a weekend. My real estate agent works with her husband who is an idiot and quite possibly the worst driver in history. He did all the showings while she handled the rest. EVERY house we looked at he parked in the middle of the driveway not allowing me any space to park, even in a 2 car driveway. He makes a blind paraplegic Asian woman driver look like Jeff Gordon. That would be the one thing I would change about this entire experience.
Would like to thank Heidi for her help from beginning to end. She was very polite, knowledgeable, professional, and was able to answer all of our questions or concerns. She also put in the extra time working with the lender to get all required paper work and signatures needed to close in a timely manner. i would most definitely recommend Veterans United to others.
