Check over everything carefully, Veterans United made some costly mistakes in my paperwork and in the process. They also were not very upfront or truthful of all the associated costs. If I had to go back and do it again, I would have went with USAA.
Response from Veterans United
Natasha, we appreciate your feedback on this matter. A member of our Client Advocate team has attempted to reach you and we invite you to connect with us further. Our team will be researching your comments to determine what our team may do in the future to help prevent a similar misunderstanding. The process for disclosing the costs of a loan is managed very closely. We understand how relying on estimates for a portion of the home buying process can seem inconsistent or make it difficult to trust the process.
I could not ask for a better team! Devin was on point. He is what made my experience outstanding! He is a great communicator, a friend through the process, and made each step very clear.
Veterans United is a phenomenal place for anyone to get a home loan. The whole process was made very easy by the wonderful people there. Bill Musick and his team were A+ in everything. They made us feel we were close friends instead of just a number. They were so kind about all the many questions we had no matter how small. They were available to us at anytime and responded to everything almost immediately. The website was also very informative by guiding us through each step and for keeping me informed of all the documents I needed for the lender and having a place to upload all my important documents for the lender to peruse at their leisure. AnnMarie, the real estate agent they recommended was better than we could have imagined and was informative and non-judgemental even though we were so picky and had so many concerns and changed our minds so often. It actually took us 7 months to finally decide on the best home for us after numerous offers and cancellations through many cities. She was so kind and patient throughout it all and held our hands through each and every disappointment. If you have any hesitation with using this company, please don't. We are very happy with our experience and highly recommend them to everyone!
Buying a new home can be very scary, especially since this was my first time. The entire team made sure I understood every step from beginning to end and made me feel comfortable.
they all know how to take you from step to step for closing on a new home....
Mike Harrison was also tough to get a hold of sometimes but he was also very good to work with aside from that.
Easy experience. Courteous Friendly and professional. Keep you informed thru the whole process. No surprises at the end.
Refinancing is a process no one looks forward to, but Veterans United was there following up with me and explaining every step of the way. Anytime I had a question my loan officer and team was there to help me through it. I recommend them highly.
I just wished I had know about this program earlier. My team was excellent and made me feel as if they had my best interest throughout the entire process

The hole process of buying my home through Veterans United was smooth and stress free they contacted you when they needed something and when the packet was ready for you they would send a email let you know you had something in your folder to do or read. Great company to work with.
I highly reccomend VU. The rates are great according to everyone I talk to. The response is great and the people are all competent. I've never had any issues and I'll use them in the future as well.
Please give Veterans United a chance, your experience will be worth it! Thanks so much Hayden and Kayla, Great job,
I would recommend them to anyone who is truly willing to buckle down so they can buy their first home! They are magical workers but they can only do so much! The home buyer must be ready to commit!
You will love your experience.
We will be back!
Ben Long was very pushy and would just attack other loan companies instead of explaining how the va loan benefited us with using VU. Also we didn’t know there was a fee for using the VA loan that we learned when we looked into Navy federal. So just don’t use him as a loan officer or retrain him because he is very agressive and not friendly. Overall the process was super fast. Would have liked for them to explain more instead of sending me links to videos or redirecting me to the page. But had a great experience besides that loan officer being the one that was assigned to us.
