This was very first experience buying a home. Samantha Rustemeyer was amazing! I was nervous, I had a million questions and when I would get excited I would ramble but Samantha listened, informed me and laughed along with for the entire journey. It was worth every second of each high and low.

We have bought, sold & refinanced homes over 20 + times in approx. 6-7 different states, using both title companies and attorney offices. The experience with Veterans United was by far THE WORST, HAND DOWN! When you think you are going to closing and get told last minute there are "tests" that need to be done that could have been done earlier, that is ridiculous! We must have been told about going to closing 3-4 + times, we Lost Count! The attorneys office told us several times that VU was one of the most Unprofessional Mortgage companies they ever dealt with, FYI---we have used that office numerous times for closings, land deals, etc.

The communication between team members and the underwriter could be improved on. There were some last minute surprises that could have been prevented had the underwriter determined that some documents would not adequately meet requirements. This should not be happening the day prior to closing.
They were professional and always on time throughout the process.
