Would recommend. I would also recommend they take the time to shop around as well. I found a few other loan agencies that I had called that were offering lower rates, but was already mostly through the process with VU and stuck with them.
VU's Homefront Academy was extremely helpful in providing information to us, first-time home buyers. We learned a lot of what to expect in addition to speaking personally with our loan officer. The my.VU portal was easy to use to upload documents and view all loan process documents.
It was terrible while Emilee Lenz was handling it! Way too many "blame games". If I had known that it was going to take 8 months to refinance here, I would have looked elsewhere.
Scott was amazing. However, the underwritter who was asking for stuff that could have been asked for 9 months prior instead of 2 or 3 days before when it took time to get was not right. Nothing had changed worth our status. This caused unnecessary stress.
