I have to be honest and say there were some glitches along the way with Veteran's United. For example, I was still being asked to provide clarification documents, on income, a day before the closing. To me, this is something that should have been completely addressed in the preapproval process. However, I truly felt everyone who dealt with the process was extremely friendly and each one was trying to ensure that this home purchase occurred, which it did. The home is great; and my mortgage payment is less than the rent I was paying each month for an apartment. Even though there were a few hiccups, I am happy with the end result. Thanks Veteran's United.
Working with the entire Veterans United team headed by Jason Scott was a tremendous experience. We have purchased houses in the past, but never in Hawaii which turned out to be a unique experience. Jason and his team walked us through every step of the way. Lyda Cole was always willing to take my call and connect me to the person who could help me with any question I had. We were on a serious time crunch and the entire team went above and beyond to close the house purchase as soon as possible. I would strongly recommend Veterans United to anyone looking to buy and would use again in the future.
Veterans United Home Loans is a great group of people. They answered all of my questions and kept me informed on every step of the process. Made me feel at ease about buying my first home.
Very easy company to deal with.

The home buying experience is taxing at best. The opportunity to use VU, all the members who assisted in the task of approval, looking for the right home, paperwork, all the questions, went smoothly! Thank you from a Veteran who appreciates your professionalism.
Very enjoyable home buying experience
Keep up the good work and continue to be honest and caring
Our specialist was great and so helpful. Veterans really do there best to help you get through those hard times.
Honestly I would not recommend the company for Veterans. They use the name 'Veterans United' when in fact they are not associated with an official Veteran's association and they heavily advertise 'no money down home loans'. This is very misconceiving as they charge a 1% origination fee which you don't find out about until later. So ask yourself first; if a VA Home Loan can only be written for the amount of the loan and Veterans United charges a 1% fee, how is this no money down? This is not something you can get the seller to pay and depending on the area that you live in there are many fees that have to be paid by the buyer.
I live near 5 military bases so the amount of Veterans here and military seeking home loans is in abundance. After I started to close I had several contacts with local companies via FB that said that the 1% fee should never have happened and with many companies around here it doesn't. I jumped the gun wanting and needing to buy a house NOW and in reality I should have waited another year, signed another lease, and done my homework properly.
Absolutely painless closed escrow in less than 45 days and could not have asked for a better experience
They work hard so you don't have to.
Would just like to say thanks to all involved. We love the house. Thanks again
