You have a great staff. Originally had Jarred Ramsey as our loan officer because we were planning on purchasing a home in Missouri, but when we decided on staying in Illinois, the hand off to Barby and Tommy was a very smooth transition.
The process went very smoothly until the last few days. We got everything that was requested in to VU as quickly as possible. We were moving from NH to WV and would be staying in temp housing until we closed on the home. I had notified VU that we would be borrowing the closing costs from our TSP account and I asked it that would be an issue. I was assured that it would not be a problem, however that ended up being the issue that delayed our closing initially. If we had been given a few weeks notice we could have requested the info and had it sent to them. But because it was all left to the end, we were scrambling to get the info they needed. Then, there was an HOA form that literally expired the day before we were to close. This caused us to have to close a day later than expected. If VU had reviewed the file in enough time and new that it would be an issue, the seller's realtor could have had this document to them and no delay would have been needed. The sellers were very upset and the husband wouldn't even come to the closing at the same time we were there. We were told that because of paperwork that had to be done prior to funds being released, most likely no one would be receiving their money on the day of closing. This was unacceptable to all involved but what were we to do? Then we were told that funding would be released but that chances were the wire would not be sent through in enough time to get it that day. The seller's wife was understandably upset. They had counted on that payoff and each day is another day of interest accruing. Fortunately, we were able to get through all the signing quickly and got the needed forms to VU in enough time for the wire to go through. The seller's would get their money wired to them that day, their mortgage company would receive the payoff. But the realtors would not get their money that day. We had wired our closing costs and overpaid by a lot. We had to wait until the next day to get a check for the difference. We were staying an hour away and had to drive all the way back down to pick it up.... We never had any issue with buying more than we could afford, the house was appraised at $26,000 over what we paid for it, the VA appraiser didn't recommend even one thing that needed to done on the home. However, what should have been a pretty easy closing ended up being nothing but stress and hassle. We would probably use a local lender in the future..... I loved the Realtor that was recommended. I am so thankful for Nancy Boggs. If not for her doing anything she could to help us (right down to opening up her home and personal computer to us so that we could get all the info that VU needed) we most likely would not have even been able to close when we did. She even called her son over to her home to help us with an issue with her computer. The thought of having to make arrangements to live somewhere if this whole thing had fallen through was more than I wanted to deal with. We started the whole process back in October with a closing in January. Plenty of time you would think.
awesome experience !!!!!!!!! thank you all agents
The overall experience was great. I appreciate the personalized help of Melissa Seboldt, in particular, as she was always readily available to answer all of my concerns. My real estate agent, while a nice person, left much to be desired with regard to timely communication. Ultimately, we had to find our own house, because she repeatedly directed us to areas we had previously nixed. Her assistant, Linda Worshels, was wonderful and always remained responsive and professional throughout the process. Finally, Billy Watkins is running a tight crew over there, and we wish him and the rest of the organization the best.

Great teamwork, and Thank you
Tara Hose is an outstanding realtor with a ton of experience in not only just selling homes but in VA processes that must be looked at as well. She had the answers and always informative and making suggestions towards areas of importance. Huge thanks to Leanna and Tara both, they made this first home buying experience virtually simple.
Thanks to all who helped us in getting our home. We will definetly recommend Veterans United Hime Loans to others.
Like I said a wonderful experience from beginning until now. In fact our whole family was very impressed!
While we were at the office everyone greeted us. We've always have been proud of our service but it has made us feel that we are part of a larger family.
William seems knowledgeable. Would be better to provide a little more detail about the process each step of the way even to previous homebuyers as things may have changed.
