The process could have been stream lined by asking for all of the information up front. The process took approximately 2 months to complete. Each day required additional information or clarification of items submitted prior. A list of pertinent information could have cut the processing time in half.
More notice with the amount due at closing. Was notified the day before closing the amount needed, and was told only cashiers check.
We were overwhelmed with all the paperwork as this is the first loan we have ever had through e-mail and phone calls. (We have always been face to face.) All the people we communicated with were fantastic but we are older and very set in our ways and it was very difficult some days more than others. I would definitely recommend Veterans United to our younger friends who are not intimidated by computer communication technology. We really do appreciate all the quick answers to our questions. VUHL has a fantastic staff. I can not see any need for improvement!
In the beginning of the process I had a great experience. My loan officer was friendly and informative. After the told me I was pre qualified it went downhill. I asked them what I needed to do before I went TAD,they said nothing then sent me email after email of paperwork I needed to turn in. I didn't have all the necessary paperwork with me as they said I was all set before I left. It was a nightmare getting the paperwork in and when I did get it in the woman collecting it never read my emails because she kept asking me for the same paperwork over and over again. I would not use VU again after that experience.
