First of all, your staff was very professional and responsive. I had a new home construction; so I know there are many variables to take into account. My only criticism is that there should have been some backward planning done as part of the process. I was originally scheduled to close on 10 Sep; the appraisal wasn't ordered/done until the home was 95% complete, which occured on 4 Sep; I didn't close until 24 Sep. With backward planning, I would have known that the appraiser is allowed 10 days, the VA 3 business days and the underwriter 2 days for documents. As the buyer, I should've been informed that if I wanted to close by 10 Sep the appraisal needed to be done by say 26 Aug. If this would have occurred, I would've been prepared for the delay in closing and would have been able to plan accordingly.
