Having a credit score of 818, being Active duty and Over 25 years of service, plus with a 10% down, it should have not been as difficult to process a loan. When asked why so difficult, response was VA requirements. Later, working with VA representatives, it was founded that it wasn't completely the case. Veterans United went above and beyond in approving this loan. If it is Veterans United Policy, say it's your policy and stand behind it but do not hide behind VA doctrines to make your case when you are adding to doctrine. The possibility of recommending Veterans United - I'm not quite sure at the moment. I did have some positive moments and professionalism with the representatives; however, the amount of paperwork needed compared to other agencies in the loan process was preposterous.

This whole process was more than we expected and before we actually started the process, we were a little hesitant because of the fear of how the process was going to be. Matt and his team was very informative and was here for us to answer any questions that we had. He made sure to explain anything that we did not understand and kept us ahead of schedule. I would definitely recommend Matt and his team to anyone and in fact we already have.

Our experience with Veteran's United Lighthouse Program was wonderful. We couldn't of asked for a better person then Amanda Thurman to work with. When we were then transferred over to Aaron Brooks and Johnny Mitchell that's were things started to go downhill. While Aaron was very responsive to our calls and or emails we would be asked to resend things because they weren't communicating on their end to make sure that when we sent something that they both had a copy of it. I was told multiple times that this is the last document I will need you to get and the next day they would need something else. My biggest aggravation with it all was that when I was told they needed a list of things done, I would get them done if not that day then by the next day. We might of had to wait for something through the bank, but everything I could get done on my end was done. When it came down to needing the last of the documents, I was told once again that this will be the last thing. The paperwork we needed had to come through the bank and that would be a few days. I would think that at this point you would already be going through our packet and double checking our documents to make sure everything is the way it needs to be. I was once again told after we had waited additional days for the bank that we once again needed one more document, that I could of been working on getting while we had waited for the previous documents to come through. I fully understand everyone is busy, as am I. I attend school full time, work, and have a young child so I understand that. My frustration is that I would put off other things I needed to get done in order to get them the paperwork they needed as soon as I could, and yet they didn't even look at the documents I sent to them until the very end when it was time to send them to final underwriting, because it was at this point when I was told one of our documents that I had sent weeks before wouldn't work and needed to be fixed.
