I am a first time homebuyer/owner from beginning to close, you can rest assured that your Lawton, OK Veteran United Home Loan Team members will be there for you helping you thorough out the process with professional expert, assistance and support. Holly, Chasity and Corina are absolutely genuine and amazing. I am forever grateful for their support and highly recommend them for anyone looking to purchase a home.
What a great experience! They make it so easy with the app. No more having to fax tons of pages of information, just take a photo of the necessary documents and upload them. The app “to do” list keeps your tasks at your fingertips. The staff we dealt with were kind, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. We went from toying with buying a new home to closing in less than 2 months. I will definitely tell our friends about Veterans United.

Joey Philpot made our VA loan process remarkably smooth and stress-free! His clear communication, attention to detail, and deep understanding of VA home loans kept everything on track from day one through closing. I strongly recommend Joey to any veteran looking for a top-tier loan officer at Veterans United.
The entire process with the VA home loan program was beyond outstanding!! My loan officer Shane Ward called me within 5 minutes after filling out my application on a Sunday weekend and got the ball rolling immediately, which foremost set the stage for getting me into my now proudly owned home in 35 days. The whole team was super friendly and promt in all the departments. Far beyond my expectations working with the VA Home Loan program in the Alabama/Mississippi location!
Veterans United is a fantastic organization. They helped us everu step of the way to our new home. Their online services and website are easy to use.

I was having the worst time ever trying to use usaa, I reached out to VU and they made everything so smooth fast and easy!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Justin Darr was absolutely incredible throughout our entire home-buying process. He was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and always took the time to explain everything and answer our questions. Justin made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and kept us informed every step of the way. We truly felt like he had our best interests in mind from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better loan officer and would highly recommend Justin to anyone buying a home!
Brian, and his team made buying my new home pretty easy . They kept in touch with me and always got back in touch with me if I had any questions.
I'm very glad I chose Veterans United to purchase my first home. The whole home buying process seemed very overwhelming but they somehow made it understandable in bite size pieces. I was super anxious and lost at the beginning and they held my hand at each step. With their insurance brokerage, I found cheaper auto, home, and flood insurance.
The best we’ve ever worked with. Highly recommend !
You cost me money. It was all set up to have the closing cost in the buyers money and I was told the closing cost was $8000.00 so that left $2000.00 to get back to cover the appraisal and bug inspection and anything else that came up. I said earlier in the application time not to pay down the interest or points on the interest and but no they went and used $3000.00 to pay down the interest and there was another problem that had to be fixed to get the seller the right amount of money that they were to receive after all the problems and payment to lower my interest that made me have to pay $300.00 at closing and I was told that’s what I was getting back wrong! I didn’t bring my check book and that caused problems to fix real fast. You made my closing a real bad experience and the person closing didn't like it or the seller made things take longer and me look stupid because I didn’t know what was going on. The day before fixing application because they didn’t have the right amounts and changing my interest and said that I was still going to get $2000.00 back to cover some of the things I had to pay for. So o I am not happy.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Ricky,
I’m sorry your closing experience left you feeling frustrated and caught off guard. Buying a home is already a significant process, and I understand how upsetting it can be when the numbers and expectations you had going into closing don’t match what you encounter at the closing table.
I’d like the opportunity to take a closer look at your concerns, including the changes you described and the communication leading up to closing. Please reach out to the Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so I can learn more about what happened.
Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. Messages received outside those hours are typically answered the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
