I would just like to say my whole team was amazing, Ward Mershon and Jay Christman always there to answer random questions along the way and point me in the right direction, they definitely went above and beyond, hands down don’t think you can find a better loan officer and specialist. Holly glass crunching numbers last minute to make sure I can stay in the green for the loan and working with me directly was amazing and I am very grateful for her help and experience. My realtors Rebecca and Bruce were and still are amazing thanks for connecting me with such great people in general. As a first time home buyer, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this process. Lance Hopper and his team went out of their way to make sure I knew what to expect through the process. I even had a family emergency during this process that put things on pause. The first thing that Lance said to me was take care of family and we'll still be here. Throughout this process, I did not just feel like another number with Veterans United. As a Marine, I have always had a mentality of "get things done"....but with Veterans United, they made sure I was prepared for the whole process.

Home buying can be stressful especially when you’re juggling regular life with a bunch of kids. Understanding the lending process let alone a VA Loan was a lot of work (for me). Veterans United made the process simple and my loan officer, Rachel was outstanding! Made the process simple. Clearly communicated every step of the way. And fought for our best interests when the seller was committed to their own best interests. I’d recommend Rachel and Veterans United in a heartbeat.

Eric did a great job coordinating the entire effort from the start. Once it was passed to the underwriting/load coordination team the wheels fell off.There was a lack of clear communication. Information was provided and uploaded multiple times via email and their internal document system. Emails were clearly and obviously missed by the loan coordination team.I had to take the reins several times because there was a lack of clear communication and explanation on several issues. Several issues were fixed in the 11th hour due to a lack of communication and a lack of processing emailed/uploaded items that had been requested.Fortunately everything worked out in the end. The entire experience was, however, FAR more stressful than it had any reasonable expectation to be. We literally were worried we would lose the house and the contract 2 days before closing, and nobody from the loan coordination team had even responded to our queries on status updates 5 days before close.It very much seemed like the VU team was so heavily reliant on people taking their sweet time to choose a house that they just had no idea what to do in order to actually close in 30 days, despite my asking over and over.Happy we got the house, but VU should focus FAR less on technology integration and instead focus on understanding methods of solving problems, paying attention to direct emails with requested documents, and actually communicating with customers.
