I would recommend Veterans United one thousand percent and then some. They were so communicative throughout the entire process. Never once did I feel as though I did not understand what was happening or lost. Any questions that I did have, they answered and were extremely patient. The entire VU team was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. It made me feel as though this was not my first time buying a home because it felt so natural. I was afraid the process would be long, hard, and maybe someone would pull the wool over my eyes. But the transparency of the VU team made all those fears go away. They truly are in this for the right reasons and it shows. They helped me and my family purchase our first home in less than a month and we are forever grateful and blessed!
Overall the experience was great, the appraiser they sent did a terrible apprasial and compared our custom built home to a cookie cutter home in a subdivison nearby. Make sure you fully get on the same page with the appraiser before they send in paperwork because there is no changing it in a realistic time frame and more than likely not changing it... cost and apprasial was over $100k difference and the comparable was nothing to compare to. So very disappointed on that.

Overall the process to get started was great. However, once the approval process had started, it felt very rushed. I remember asking a few times about the reimbursement methods and getting different answers, or asking if lower the loan amount and take less out. I got the impression that it was too much paperwork so it got shoved along to the next stage.
Thank you VU team! The process has a few hiccups but they were fantastic at resolving and making themselves available for me when ever I needed them as well as being patient with my baby questions, delays, and concerns.
None of the horror stories about going through purchasing a home that I always heard about growing up can be lent any credence from me.
