I would only recommend VUHL with a fair warning that they will be experiencing a huge headache submitting multiple forms of paperwork and just when you have everything done they will ask for more. A loan through a local bank is much easier and less stressful.

The experience has been a learning opportunity for us and everyone involved. Our past experience with buying and selling a home had challenges and timelines that took more patience. This is the first time we have closed an escrow in 22 days, a record time to us. Our loan agent and real estate representative were both outstanding and professional people. If we had to do it again, we would still choose Veterans United Home Loans.

Derek was a pleasure to work with throughout our entire loan process. He was easy to contact, and available to answer all of our questions. Any issues we encountered were dealt with promptly by Derek, and he provided guidance and advice to make our home purchase as smooth and simple as possible. I will certainly recommend VUHL to anyone in the market for a VA home loan, and will be coming back in the future if I require VA home loan services later on down the line.

The service and support was great from beginning to closing . I started working on my credit with Veterans United back in Feb. 2012 our scores was very low, so they recommended my wife and I to the department of secondary approval and this is were we were introduced to Alyshea Smith who work with us and instructed us what to do and how to get the scores up and by April 2013 I was preapproved for $300,000. She was outstanding and we both worked hard to get us there, so if anyone has any doubt about owning a home I suggest you call VU today it can be done. My loan officer Ben Shetley was also great to work with very professional and stayed in constant contacted with us ,he walked of through the loan application step by step. Ben looked out for our best interest he called or emailed us weekly and sometimes two or three times a week with updates ... Thanks to everyone at VU we closed on a brand new construction home on 08/14/2013 with no money out of pocket plus to my surprise we received a check at settlement for over $700.00 wow they paid us to buy a home.... Thanks Alysea and Ben for your help and support

I do feel that the appraisal should be completed within the first 10 days that an offer is accepted. I was annoyed that I did not hear about the value of the home until we were less than two weeks from the closing date. I also feel that a checklist should be given as soon as the offer has been accepted of any and all item that may be requested, whether or not they will be needed. This way the buyer has ample time to gather all of the documents and have them on hand if and when they are requested. This would really help relieve some of the stress caused by the process. Having to gather random documents on an ad hoc basis on the fly stinks.

Michelle Jones performed an outstanding job for us. Not only are Vanora and I pleased, but so is the Real Estate Broker and the entire staff in his office. This is my third VA home loan and is by far the best processing I have ever had. Michelle and her staff and who ever helped her did an outstanding job.
