Our experience was excellent! Because the approval process can be difficult we appreciated knowing that our financial position looked strong at the outset. The 48 hour turnaround for underwriting also lets the applicant know when to expect answers to explanations given. Everyone on the staff was responsive and courteous, especially Taylor Clark. Our new home means everything to us. Veterans United made this possible and we will always be grateful for your efforts.

Eric, Stephanie, and Samantha were great agents and provided excellent services for me to receive my loan to purchase a house. I did have issues with some of the requirements needed to make the loan happen.

There's an enormous amount of information that the company request from the borrower(s). Some of it is redundant and some information can be very personal. I understand the risk the company takes to approve a loan however, with credit information and other information from previous home loans, that should suffice.

I also didn't agree with the process of producing my tax audit. If that process is mandated by Veterans United, then it should be worked out with the IRS and VU so that the borrower is not put in a compromising situation.

Overall, VU came through and provided me with top quality service.

I have to say this was the worst serve I have every received in any transaction I done. Sadly to say it just happened to be with my first home purchase.
To start, the time in which I received information was outrageous. Documents were coming to me “one” at a time with a consent need ASAP attached. I repeatedly request for information, not information being pushed to me. Not the mention the 4:31 P.M. email, the day before closing, stating I need to bring a cashier’s check for $2000 plus. After contacting the loan agent, they went back to check number and replied back ”It was an error and you don’t need to bring funds to the closing and even worst. By the next morning it was bring $600 plus dollars. If this type od mistake was made this close to the closing, I have to believe I have been racked over the coals on the closing cost. A quick review with my realtor shows the closing cost being over $5000.00. This is after I repeatedly stated I was not bring cash to the closing and all fees should be included in the loan.
Did I mention that I had just arrived in country the day before after a 27 year DoD tour of employment overseas. Welcome Home!! To top this off, after speaking with the Loan Officer about the amount this is what I was told. Quote “ I spoke with your Realtor and there’s a Navy Credit near you that you can use, so there should not be a problem”. I’m getting a Loan Officer to tell me where I should go to take care of my financial requirements. I have never heard anything so outrageous and arrogant, considering the gross error(s) that were made. Trust me, it was not the amount of cash required, but the manner in which I was “handled” as a customer and Veteran. It seemed that I was always problematic when calling the loan officer. I always received the “ Sorry I’m so busy handling multiple loans, I missed that”. To be quite honest, if the Loan Officer is unable to handle more than one loan at a time they should be re-trained or given a position of less responsibility. The fact that I would receive request to provide information that was already provide should have been an indicator that I was in for a royal XXXXX.
Now as a Veteran of the United Stated Military and a continued service, 31 years, to the United States Military I was hoping for a bit of “better” service and respect. I hope your firm is/will treat other Veterans a tiny bit better.
To close I’m just tired of discussing this third world service I received. I’m sure your loan officer will receive a quite health commission on this loan and I will receive a “We apologize” email. After serving 27 years overseas in defense of this great nation I was hoping to Welcomed Back Home with a little more respect!

Our experience with Veterans United Home Loans was exceptional from the very beginning. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and very helpful. They were there to answer all of our questions (even when we were being a bit redundant). They wanted us to feel confidant that we totally understood each step of the process and completely made us feel like their number one priority. They were quick and precise with their answers and replies back to us. We felt like we had 'people' on our team. Thank you for such a smooth process in buying our new home.

Brandon and Cameron were excellent. It didn't matter what question we had, they answered us. They were with us each step of the way, even though it took months for us to find and close on a house. Brandon was always willing to spend time on the phone to help us. I can't say enough good things about them. If we ever choose to sell and buy another house, I will be asking for Brandon personally!

David was as professional and helpful as they come. This is the second home I have purchased, he was able to make the process smooth and stress free. Although we never met face to face, he acknowledged that we were not just another file and always took into consideration our schedule and the impact purchasing a new home played in our lives. We are extremely grateful and own him for the memories to come in our new home.

Had a good expereance with one person on the team of three. She worked very hard and went above and beyond what she had to. When it came to the last part where we would find out everything went well and the house was ours we did not recive a phone call, I had to call and find out. Was not till about three days after the house was ours did we find out.

Our loan officer was great but his observable performance was out shadowed by Ashley Kerrdirian. Her professionalism, kindness, responsiveness and availability were Superior. I would recommend this team to anyone.

The success of any organization is dependent on the people that comprise it. Daniel Lowes is an exemplary loan officer, who states his passion is to serve veterans by helping them achieve home ownership. He represents everything good about the company. His knowledge and expertise took the pain out of waiting and wondering when and if the deal would go through. It happened quickly. Daniel and his team made sure that everything went smoothly. He is the consummate professional, family man and patriotic citizen.

I will never recommend an out of state mortgage company. My realtor was not kept up to date on anything by your company. Underwriter should not give conditional approvals unless it is truthful. Waiting until the last minute when information has been provided for weeks is a horrible way to dobbusiness. I am glad it's over. The loan officer was nice. I would not advise anyone to use this company. The underwriters hold the loan officers hostage. Which has a negative effect on you and your family.
