I wish there was a more clear checklist of things. Or a more clear outline of the entire process up front because there were times we were left unsure of what the next steps were or if there was anything else that needed to be done outside of our “task list” on our account. Because of this we didn’t know we needed a pest inspection which ended up pushing back our closing date. Had this been on our radar it would’ve been taken care of sooner

Buying and moving to a second home that is 6 hrs away, with limited time... things became overwhelming fast. Luckily, I used Trivago, jk.
Joking aside, new schools, new day care, new job xfr, new city, utilities,... it definitely tests your frustrations. For me, given the time crunch, everyday became important and tasks needed to be completed to reach the next hurdle.
During the VU loan process, I considered a pivot to a third party when I was given offers that seemed better and can be completed quicker... my ears were perked. Long story short, false promises and the close date and rates kept changing even when I had paperwork ready to make the commitment (my frustrations peaked). I considered other lenders because I felt VU was just pushing numbers on me, ...felt like the same corporate vibes as all the other lenders.
I kept my trust in VU and leaned on their advice.
In the end, VU came in for the win and we blazed ahead to close 2 weeks later.
Chad helped me with my first home, gave me advice on an IRRL, and his team helped me cross the finish line on my second home. When I first met him, I asked him about VA Loans, he said "This is what we do...".
I believed him the first time and I believe it the second time.

Very good process. Only issue was due to state of market had to use a conventional loan and not a VA loan. Now paying PMI and a higher interest rate.

The list goes on....Kayle deserves a shout out as much as any! I had issues with my smart phone, she assisted....I had good, and dumb questions....she was there, ready to answer the call. The final days, as closing approached....I sensed that I had EXACTLY the right type of people on my side! Low and behold....everything went off without a hitch. Has able to close a couple days early....and once you all heard that was my wish, you flexed and we made it happen!
