I will definitely recommend Veterans United to all of my veteran friends! It was a very smooth purchase and stress free!

One issue we ran into is that Veterans United recommended a utility company for our natural gas supplier which was a commercial pipeline company in Niles michigan, not a residential natural gas supplier. So we are waiting for a call back from a company that didn't do what was on the list at Veterans United for us to do as far as utilities go.

overall the team did an outstanding job. the only problem was with the appraiser. Bryan could have done a better job informing us of the problems with the appraiser. I think the communication between the underwritters and Bryan was lacking considerably

Thank you all for the help!. We are so happy with our new home!

Always available for answers, great group.Just one more question, making payments.... says check in for ways to pay..... can't find the ways..... help

I can not go on enough about how my team took my, at the time, hopeless situation and helped me get into the house of my dreams.

The whole team was absolutely fantastic. Their professionalism towards the entire process was unlike anything I have ever seen. If I could rate all of the team higher than a 10, I would in a heartbeat. My house is incredible and I have all of you to thank for it.

James Walrod and his team have always been so great, with multiple home purchases under my belt I am so thankful to have them in my corner!

My last transaction with your company in 2020 went amazing. I could not have been happier. This transaction was another story entirely. From avoidable delays to lack of communication it lacked professionalism from the start. I was much less satisfied with the team on this transaction than my original team from my 2020. The biggest issue that would keep me from recommending your company was the issue that came up on the eve of the first scheduled closing where I received a TEXT message from Moya telling me I would have to bring an additional $6,000 to closing the following day due to a “glitch” in the system. No explanation. No phone call. Just a text. Obviously this was upsetting after we had discussed the closing disclosure for literally months at this point. I work in commercial underwriting so I’m very familiar with the underwriting process and always scrutinize closing statements thoroughly. Getting this message less than 12 hours before close was unprofessional and very upsetting to the client. The tone and behavior AFTERWARDS was unfortunately no better. We ended up closing two weeks later but in the meantime the team was curt, unhelpful and distant. Closing loans is easy. It’s how your team behaves when there are issues that counts. Unfortunately that was clearly demonstrated on this transaction and the client walked away unhappy. It’s too bad because I’ve spent years recommending your organization after our first transaction in 2020.

I am really pleased with how everyone handled our purchase.Gwen and her team were
really great to work with and helped to get us finalized and settled in our new home quickly.
Would definitely recommend Veterans United to anyone looking to buy a home.

From the very first phone call I knew Veterans United was the right team to contact. They have a very large and supportive team that is always willing to go above and beyond to keep things going smoothly. I've never felt more confident and happy with such a life changing decision, than working with Veterans United to buy my first home. Thanks to everyone that made owning a home so fun and easy!

Very easy to work with very nice people loved working with Caleb and Liz would recommend them highly to anyone

From start to finish, VU had my back. It felt good to have confidence in my loan team. They took care of my and family above and beyond.

The only complaint I have is how many times my closing cost changed even on the day of closing.

This was not my first home buying experience and my spouse (before we were married) also has experience purchasing homes throughout the years (but in another country). Our situation is unusual in that I am a U.S. Citizen (USC) who lives and works stateside, while my spouse is a Foreign National (FN) who lives and works overseas while finishing up a PhD; we will ultimately bring our lives together within the next year, or two. This was our first time as husband and wife purchasing a home together - and our first time experience with VU. Everyone on the VU team was outstanding! They were extremely helpful, professional and patient; and worked exceptionally hard - especially considering that I have a very challenging schedule and my spouse lives overseas. The VU team worked long hours and through the weekend to ensure everything moved along smoothly. They helped my spouse and I work through a rather stressful and challenging closing situation; where the closing company and county clerk’s office were unfamiliar with a situation where a married couple (one USC and one FN) lives in two different countries. VU explained every step of the process, in an easy to understand manner, for everyone involved and offered solutions to every challenge. This team of dedicated professionals made this home buying experience happen. Kudos (from both myself and spouse) to the entire VU team!

Loved the whole team! Each person was super friendly, professional, and down to Earth! Whatever question you may have for them they’ll get you an easy to understand answer. If they somehow don’t have an answer for you right then and there they’ll get you one in a timely manner.

Was challenging for me. I counted myself lucky for the team. Kudos to the team for uplifting me into realizing my dream. Be blessed!

Great team. The processes was fairly easy. Some explanations were difficult, but mostly because I was a first time buyer.

Felicia and her team made it very easy to get everything started for the loan process. Even while one of us was still in Korea, we were able to upload documents and complete the document checklist. The whole process was seamless with the app to digitally upload and sync items. Felicia’s team was super helpful even when we asked to close 4 days early. The concierge portion, Gabby was a great asset in making sure we had information on utility companies, from power to internet. Great team of professionals, I would highly recommend Veterans United and Felicia’s team.
