Overall, the actual mortgage services were excellent. Applying, underwriting, and closing all went more smoothly than I thought possible. Some of the additional services may have been more beneficial if we were moving to a new region; the concierge merely provided lists of utilities providers rather than contacting or facilitating transitions on our behalf. Since we only moved one town over, we already had all of the information the concierge was able to provide.

The team was spectacular. Really made it easy to get through the process. I would recommend that you notify anyone buying a home to opt out of the credit reporting agency releasing your personal information BEFORE you attempt to do a hard pull on their credit report. I received 268 calls from mortgage companies and they are still calling (though it's only a couple time a day now). First day I had logged 127 calls.

Buying a home is never an easy task. My wife and I traveled to and from Florida countless times from Virginia until we found what we wanted to be our retirement home. I can promise you our stress levels were through the roof sometimes. We actually felt lost in a maze with so many twist and turns. They turned what was becoming a nightmare into the dream we started and eventually finished with. We are ecstatic with our new home and future adventures we will build there. I think I communicated with a total of four VU reps: Ross, Halie, Kole, Crayton. All were stellar in the services provided. I would like to say that instead of feeling catered to, I felt confused as to who I should contact for what. I'd rather communicate with one person and have that person work with their team behind the scenes. This is a personal preference, but one I thought I would share. This is my second loan with VU and I look forward to continue working with VU on future home purchases. I tell other homebuying friends to be sure to check out VU.
