Recommended. I was able to close in record time. The team was very responsive and was able to answer all of my questions.

VU is the most professional grou and team that I have eaver had the pleasure to wirk with in any capacity. The leadership and teamwork and asistance they provide is second to none. In home buying through my experience most everyone a buyer has to deal with is as slippery as an eel and leaves the slime to be cleaned up after. The VU team answered any questions I had with the most straight forward and honest information even if it was something that wasn't exactly how I felt I wanted to hear it. I hope that in the future I can reach out and work with the team again in perhaps another way. Excellent group!

Everyone was simply the best!

First time home buyers and the team definitely took their time and answered each and every question I had. If they did not have an answer they found it and got back to me. I felt heard during the process

Why settle for less — VU is the best!

This was not an easy process due to some hurdles, but by far the best experience.

Love you guys, made it effortless.

Outstanding service and help when I didn’t understand stuff! Would recommend over any other company!

Sometimes we all need somebody to lean on! Well, I leaned on a great group of people! The telephone operators were excellent and very well trained. They actually made me feel that they had been waiting to take my calls. I shall not forget Kristy and Emily; they listened to all of my foolishness. Actually, both of these ladies are "simply the best" , and Veterans United is lucky that they hired them. All of you had my best interest at heart; it's good to know that they are "'caring ambassadors" at your firm.

You do not want to even begin to allow me an open Microphone on the Veterans Home Loan department. If I had known the inconsistent, abysmal, degradation the process took, after such a stellar beginning with Veterans United help. I WOULD HAVE USED CONVENTIONAL LOCAL BANKING. My contact could have turned this in 3 weeks, for an extra 1/4 point, I almost pulled the plug twice. YOU ASKED.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Daniel,
We appreciate hearing from you and wanted to take a moment to follow up on your comments. Thanks for sharing with our team. We were glad that you had a positive experience with your team, aside from the appraisal process. It was great to hear that Nick and his team went above and beyond, after the appraiser was unable to meet the necessary deadlines. As you are aware, the VA appraiser is not selected by Veterans United but rather is handled directly by the Department of Veterans Affairs. While we do not take responsibility for third party actions, it was beneficial to explore this topic further with you. We hope that you enjoy your new home and that our explanations have helped improve your experience overall.
I want to thank Dawn Plank and her team from Veterans United on helping me and my wife with the purchase of our home. They are very supportive…knowledgeable…understanding and compassionate. Thanks again to Veterans United

The loan officer Zach Seeler I would recommend to anyone he was very upfront and honest with the way things should go and was exceptionally patient even though there were issues arising every other day on my end and helped me whenever he could so that I could get my house and was professional in his conduct and I would say he deserves a pay raise within the company. The above stated comment about Zach also apply to John Wiggins he was very patient and was quick to discuss with me options he could put forward and directed me to someone that could help me even if he did not have the answer right away. Home buying concierge was very helpful and was upfront that any issues I had could go through him and the issues I did have got addresses very quickly and in a professional manner. The only team member however that I had issues with was the real estate agent some of the issues that arose were as follows in detail. I had specifically told them, (The real estate agent), that I would prefer a house in Newport News/hampton, and Portsmouth as a second, and Norfolk as a last resort due to the price of property in the areas. The first houses we went to were in Norfolk and due to the timing I missed out on seeing quite a few three bedroom two bathroom homes in Newport News/hampton that I wanted to see and potentially put an offer down on the spot. I provided 90% of the addresses that were reasonable for my budget and were able to be VA loan approved to the real estate agent they also went and put houses on the portal that were quite a few thousand to fifteen thousand over my budget with my budget being 150k and some houses being on the portal for nearly 175k. On top of that when doing the close out inspection on my house they wanted me to come in one day that I told them would not work and told them I would be there the very next day as early as possible to do the inspection which would take about 10-15 minutes of my time to which they agreed. I texted them I was about an hour and fifteen minutes away from when I left, and when I got there I waited in the driveway of that house for about 40+ minutes waiting on them to get there and then they finally told me that they "didn't want to come to the house twice" before I got my clear to close even though everything was being filtered through to go to the underwriters.

Veterans United is an incredible company that is with you through every step of the home buying process! Our Team of Kaylee, Jordan, Hazel, and Megan were all incredible and I would recommend them to every veteran! Thank you all for going above and beyond for us! Dana and Patsy Smith...Haysi, VA

We have done two home purchases with another VA loan and banking large company, this one was completely different! I love that our team was there to help every step on the way. If we ever purchase again, it will be with y’all!

Great experience. The support “team” was attentive and professional.
