I have recommended VU to other veterans that was considering purchasing a new home. My experience in 2017 when I initially used VU and now with this most recent re-fi. The only thing in both are the follow-ups the "to-do" list - was a little frustrating at times but overall both experiences were less than 90 days from start to finish.
The process was smooth and easy. The loan officers were on top of everything.
Veterans United helped me get through the process of getting a home easy ,but I do have to say to really do your homework before you do go house hunting.make sure your real estate agent helps you as well and really check inspection.i have to say i now own a home but it's been a nightmare due to plumbing issues since day 1 and not being able to use bathrooms drains and toilets backed up and shower actually cleans bedroom floor after you shower .it's been a hot mess like I really would like to say alot of bad things but it's not veterans United fault it's more of buyer beware it really sucks but I have to home.i hope I was able to help you not make the same mistakes.

I will never finance through Veterans United again and everyone of my peers and subordinates will be advised to steer clear. VU repeatedly left me stressed and confused due to their overall lack of communication or unclear messaging. My home was successfully purchased but the only reason I went through with the deal was because I was PCSing and on a timeline.
