The loan process was just “okay”. The main issue is that on my first mortgage payment, we were charged TWICE. Totally unacceptable. Fix your processes.

The overall experience with VU was excellent. At the very beginning, we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Our journey took un into two states which required our loan agent to change. This occurred without any delay in our house hunting. When we found the house we wanted our VU team jumped though the hoops for us. If the truth be known, it was easier to purchase our home through VU than it was donating our boat to charity. Given the opportunity, we would use VU again. It was a stressful journey, but the team helped trough the tough moments
This was my first time buying a home and I was very eager, nervous and a little overwhelmed but my team at Veterans United was always there for me and my wife through the process. My questions were always answered and thanks to them we got the house we loved and got it in a very timely manner. I will recommend Veterans United every time and will use them again in the future.

They called us almost everyday to keep us updated. This is one time that I can say that Veteran's United has a great team there. If they were to ever let them go it would be a BIG MISTAKE. Without my VA home loan, the idea of owning a home was a distant dream. The VA made that dream a reality by making it easy to understand while walking me through every step!
The request for closing funds was premature and unnerving at times. It may have just been wording, but better clarification of when funds should be expected to be in the appropriate account should be tempered with the knowledge that the funds won't be available until after the close on the sale of the loan applicant's current residents.
