My loan officer Ben Choi did not communicate well. Went on vacation/leave and put someone in his place that wasn’t licensed, and could not answer questions. Mason Radcliffe was terrible as well. All over the place. Had to beg to receive phone calls from both. Didn’t give me the correct cash to close until signing day, and even then it was still wrong. They ruined my first home buying experience.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Lindsey,
I’m really sorry to hear how this experience impacted your first homebuying journey. This should be an exciting milestone, and it’s frustrating to hear that communication issues, lack of availability, and unclear information made it so difficult.
Not being able to get timely responses, especially when you have important questions, can feel incredibly discouraging. On top of that, receiving inconsistent or incorrect details about your cash to close adds another layer of stress that shouldn’t happen. You deserved clearer guidance and more reliable communication throughout the process.
I’d really like the opportunity to look into what happened here and better understand where things broke down. If you’re open to it, please reach out so I can help and make sure your concerns are fully reviewed.
You can contact me or my team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We're available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and we typically respond the next business day if you reach out after hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
Great experience !
We first began searching for a home before a military move with unknown dates. The team helped us move quickly on a house that ultimately wasn't meant to be and handled it very smoothly. When we finally received orders and hard dates that required even quicker movement, the team came together again and made it happen on our timeline like true professionals. I was very impressed with the customer service, software applications, and timeliness from start to finish. We will absolutely come back on our next home search!
Emily has been on the look out to lower my interested. She keeps an eye out for I’m sure not only me but way for us Veterans to save us money. Been in contact with her as interest rates go up and down. Can’t say enough about her professionalism. Thank you!!!
Horace was awesome to work with. Always made sure we knew where we were at in the process. Made the whole loan process actually very enjoyable. Highly recommend

Veterans United is the best. They actually had me approved and closed in two weeks time. Who has ever heard of such a thing. If it were not for Veterans United I would not have made my closing date. Thank you Veterans United.
Jordan and his team did a fabulous job helping me as a first time homebuyer! The knowledge they hold in the services they provide is unmatched. I rarely needed to ask any additional questions because they were extremely thorough. If i did have any questions they were answered promptly. They are all amazing at what they do and you can tell they truly care about their clients! They made the loan process a breeze for me and helped me feel confident. I would recommend everyone to use them if the option is available.
