Veterans United Home Loans is an amazing company to assist Veterans like myself in this home buying process. My husband and I have been told that we will not be in a position to purchase a home for a long time by several other home loan programs. We were so discouraged and thought that we will have to rent homes forever. The first time I had contact with Shannon in the Lighthouse Program, I felt a sense of support immediately. Shannon was able to assist us in creating a plan over a 12 month period to move us towards home ownership. Once we were in a position to qualify for a loan, Shannon immediately connected us to a local office to start the process of buying a home. We were able to secure a preapproval in about 2 weeks. Rebekah Emerick was able to assist us in purchasing our first home in about a 60 day time period. The process was surprising painless, and I know that it was all because Rebekah and her team worked extremely hard to make our dreams come true. Besides the fact the Underwriters were going through my financial files like federal forensics, the Loan Team was awesome and responsive! Chris E. & Rachel K. kept us updated every step and was on our side through it all!!
Dan and Yohannes were amazing. Dan wouldn’t hesitate to spend time on the phone to go over every little detail of the buying experience. I was a first time buyer so his education was extremely valuable. Yohannes had a knowledgeable answer for any of my questions. It was super easy to upload my documents. I have no complaints on my buying experience.
Veterans United overall was great. The experience was extensive but good. Eric and Lisa were there to help and advise whenever I needed. Him stayed on top of my case and it was an overall good experience .
My only problem was after I closed the closing title company I believe gave me misinformation on when they were sending out or sent out my payout which I was not happy with at all. It should have been paid out on Monday the 23rd of March I was told it would be paid out on Monday but it wasn't after many phone calls, texts and emails between Eric and Boston national title and escrow the closing company which is very frustrating cuz like I said I kept getting misinformation if it was sent if it was not sent. But in the end I did receive it on Tuesday the 24th of March at 3:00 p.m. so it all turned out. Eric stayed on top of it even before office hours which I appreciated very much.
