The process was not as bad as I anticipated. My closing was done in a month.
The inspections were worth it, saved me a lot of problems! I'm still in disbelief, I'm a homeowner!!!
The process was easy and the the experience was good. Charlie Marshman and Tim Shipman were great and on their game.
Scott Hutto and his team were on it and helped us get the house we wanted in an extremely hot market and area on acceptable terms and financing. The team's effort and their unique process was efficient and effortless and kept us on track for a successful early close. We are very pleased and would highly recommend.
Veterans United was by far the best company that provides loans. Even if I wasn't a Veteran I would still use them. I've been a mortgage broker for over 25 years and I can honestly say that I was astounded at the dedication to their clients. They made sure everything was smooth and done with ease. Thank you!
The communication between lender and buyer could definitely be better, especially after closing. I was contacted by Pennymac regarding my first payment to them before I was contacted by VU regarding the first month’s payment being due, which caused another unplanned expense after the process. That combined with the failure to mention that my now ex wife who lives in another state would need to be present during the closing is just frustrating. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone who does not have a lot of patience, nor will I use it again in the future.
Great experience. Everyone was professional and helpful. One thing I think would have been a good idea early in the process would have been if I had been given a ballpark figure for my closing costs. I wondered several times early in the process whether I was wasting everyone’s time.
